  • This year we are growing them in cages as we rotated crops and that was the most convenient. I believe they are in a video, but hard to see. To grow them on a trellis, just take the end of a vine and put it up on the trellis. If they aren’t long enough, tie string or yarn on the bottom row and let the vines grow up the string first. They get the hang of it very quickly. I do that with my flower vines too. Hope that is helpful. Hope you get lots of cukes. Keep picking and keep watering.

  • I haven’t tried all the tips yet, but like you, I haven’t grown enough yet this summer to use them for anything but eating. I did try using them on my kitchen faucet – worked pretty well. As an emergency shoe polish – cleaned off the dust, but not shiny. As an ink remover – not so good. Fun to try. Let me know when you try

    something.

  • Hi Lynn! That does sound fantastic! I've noticed you say "supposedly" on a few of these tips though. Have you tested them out yourself? Just curious. Thank you for so many fun and useful cucumber facts! My garden only produce one cucumber every 2 weeks or so, and all I can do with those is give them as a snack to my son, so there are never enough for us to try, hehe. Note to self" plant more cucumbers next year!

  • I hope you show how to grow cukes in your garden. I planted the variety Diva in my garden and it's growing all over the place. How do you grow cucumbers? On a trellis? Help! :)
