I actually like this. In other games if you wanted to do something you needed to commit to that guild and miss out on other parts of the game because you were not in those guilds.

I'm sure Guild leaders/officers can still check for activity but now your experience won't be funnelled into one aspect because of that guild. Or even let's say you really like Guild A but their activity falls on one of your days/play time. You can now also run with Guild B at no repercussion.

Think about it, say for example you're in 3 guilds, Guild A, Guild B and Guild C. Guild A is concentrated on PvP so whenever you want to get a group together for structured PvP, you chat with the members of that guild and make a group. Then say you want to run some dungeons, so you represent Guild B which is a guild all about PvE and dungeons and so you organize a group with the members of that guild. Finally if your doing events you rep Guild C and find other members to play with.

I dont like this idea of having diferent guild! There will be a lot of spies and people ruining PVP matches!

@IuriSro That's actually a good point, it makes it easy for people to ghost for other guilds, but hopefully it wont be a real problem.

@BIGBEART8 Yeah, I'm not sure what I think about it yet. Yes it allows us to play with anyone, but I also like the sense of being a part of something, and if people are hopping around I'm not sure how that will work. But then again, I guess loyal people like me would stick it out with 1. So it allows you to choose. :)

@ZealousGamer You are both overthinking it.....and it actually annoys me a little.

Think of the guild system as "Linkshells" from FFXI.

You get a "Pearl" or a pearl bag or whatever the higher "ranked" ones were.

You are part of that guild,for the most part you are in that one forever...you enjoy being in it.

One day you log in..go i dont fee like talking,unequip it....poof no guild chat...nothing..silence.

Same effect for "raiding",you have a social "guild" and a raiding "guild".

Its smart...

@Kutujames Yeah, in Guild Wars 1 I would play in 1 guild while I was active in PvP, then when I decided to do title farming I joined another, and same for any major gameplay style change, so it will be nice to have the change.

My questions to the crew:

Who buys stuff on the guild tree? The founder I would assume.

More importantly, Can there be multiple people who buy things on the tree? AKA multiple leaders?

@gangster301 This is just speculation, but I would assume that everyone that gains the influence could spend it on whatever they thought was needed, but I could see it being a donation system similar to donating faction in Guild Wars 1, and then the guild leader spends it as needed. I guess we will get more info as we go.

@gangster301 I think its more along the lines of "what" you are buying.

For example..its its a storage thing like a bank...the "leader" would buy that...if its a "flag",anyone can buy it...etc.
