@Maraud3r43 the cam is a good torquey street cam, runs out of steam at about 4500 rpm, but you would get a few more revs out of it in a 350. The 400 pontiac will smooth out this cam compared to a smaller sbc. off idle torque is like a freight train, and the cam really shines in the midrange. its got a nice little lope too

ooo gotcha well it loos sweet and i still wanna make one for my car, I just bought a 400 block to build probly pretty close to what you have, do u have any idea how much power your car makes?
Id guess 275-300 hp and 400 or so ft/lbs of torque. It might not sound like alot but its a powerful engine anywhere in the rev range and very cheap to build.
maybe old motor blew cause you redlined it cold like that

@1981turbota How is the cam? I have a 72 El Camino with a 350 and Comp Cams recommended this cam for it. hows the idle, throttle response, sound etc?

you can buy sheets of aluminum with the engine turned pattern on them but you can do it yourself a lot cheaper
