BUT Bruce did have a hunger to learn all types of fighting. So I fully believe if he was alive today, Im sure he would go get his black belt in BJJ, and master other arts as well. Thats the type of guy he was.

In terms of fighting he hasn't done a whole lot against guys the like of Georges St. Pierre, Anderson Silva and Jon Jones. As I said before he had amazing abilities and had a great philosophy/mindset. I'm not saying that he can't whoop 99% of ppl today but even if he fought I can assure you that they were not of the same caliber as the competition faced by pro fighters. Don't believe me? And yes, Bruce Lee became famous through the films that he made and through his amazing abilities which didn't in any way include getting in a ring with someone and proving himself. Well my initial argument had to do with Silva vs Lee so in essence thats what we were talking about.
Its evident that you think that Bruce Lee is the best for the reason that you believe all of the stories + you're willing to go through such extents to defend his legacy.
What I meant by "he's not a fighter" is that (3rd time saying this) he became famous off films and not by fighting for a living like Anderson Silva. He's a martial artist; of course he's a fighter in that sense!

I've searched Bruce Lee's past. Most of the stuff that you hear about Bruce Lee is in no way proven and a good number are probably invented or blown out of proportion yet you blatantly accept them to be facts.
Guys that I respect are people like Anderson Silva who have made their name off fighting and not films. Mr. Silva also manages to spectacularly dominate guys who fight for a living so he isn't really dominating your average Joe or your one dimensional fighter.

Even at his prime, Bruce Lee would not stand a chance against Silva. First of all, Bruce isnt even close to the same weight class as Silva. And 2nd, Silva is a MASTER in more than one art of fighting. Bruce did train in other arts, but he was not a master in others (no black belt in BJJ). BUT Bruce did have a hunger to learn all types of fighting. So I fully believe if he was alive today, Im sure he would go get his black belt in BJJ, and master other arts as well. Thats the type of guy he was.
