This sounds nothing like a Coldplay song. The first couple minutes, it's quiet and cool like Coldplay but the piano is far better composed than anything Coldplay has done. The song's climax shows an understanding of rhythm that Coldplay as never shown. Yorke has managed to create a song that follows the Radiohead formula of a slow build up in an original way, with new influences and sounds. Fantastic. Although he is getting a bit wordy with the lyrics.

I don't think you realise that this song will probably change drastically over the course of the next year or so. A lot of Radiohead songs start like this & end up being some of the best songs of their generation.

Obviously you're entitled to your opinion, but it largely varies from mine, each to their own I suppose, but I think you may be proven wrong if he decides to show it to the rest of the band as one of the tracks for the new albums, they will add a new dimension to it.
