The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the United States Federal Constitution were specifically written for African American slaves freed after the conclusion of the civil war. All passed under a Republican President by a Republican congress - always opposed by Democrats. The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the United States Federal Constitution were specifically written for African American slaves freed after the conclusion of the civil war. All passed under a Republican President by a Republican congress - always opposed by Democrats. At the time of the consitution's writing, freed African Americans (yes, they did exist) were protected by the Constitution. It was not just written for white people.

I'm basically a Libertarian and went to a tea party in Wausau WI where out of the more than 1,000 people there were not Rep. These tea parties are about people who have finally become fed up with a congress who recklessly and criminally tax and spends us to death.
The main speaker in this video hit it right on the head, this was about people finally getting fed up with the tyranny of the government!

I can't help thinking this is a a republican vs democrat thing, than it is an actual, "I care about spending," thing. I don't think these people cared when it was Bush who was doing the spending, but now that a democrat is doing it, all of a sudden they care. No offense, I don't know these people personally, I don't know their intentions. I oppose wasteful spending too. But the fact that tea party protests are occurring now, instead of 4 years ago, I think, lessens their credibility.

Evidently, the "reckless contempt" that is being advertised in these rallies are legendary. They are calling for armed revolution in the time when the exigency of the nation to come together is paramount. Don't toot your horn; you were a hopeless case to begin with so I wasn't getting my expectations high. Make sure you take photos from every radical right radio sponsorship, plastering their posters all over the rally.
