Dianne came back to work because her electrician husband was on strike, by an invitation from LW because she needed to support her family. She found out that she was pregnant shortly after this adoption.

@KendallWriter Her husband was not an electrician but a telephone lineman who went on to upper management in the company... Western Electric !
