Sorry for the long comment, but through my family's patience, my brother can now communicate with others and doesn't do as many tantrums.
Do not ever think of your brother as being weird. He can feel it, I used to do that when I was younger and he would be sadder even if I didn't do anything.
Whenever he is yelling just distract him, that's what I do. He'll concentrate on something else instead of being mad.
That taught me that you gotta be patient and really I don't see it as being unfair because I get away with stuff too.
My parents also put a lot of pressure on me to do well, since I am the only "capable" one in the family. With only 2 kids in the family, my relatives see me as the future for the family.
I HATE how people think that way. My brother is the nicest person I have ever known and he will stop whatever he is doing to do something for you.
Believe or not, my brother's name is Anthony and he is autistic. He is high funtioning though.
He's about the same age as your brother, which really struck me as a surprise.
Maybe it is just me, but you sound like you see him as a freak. "He embarrasses me" -- my brother taught me things that other kids my age would never understand.
He taught me patience, love, and compassion. My parents also give my brother more leway on things than me.
I'd like to add one comment about our video. When I discuss how anthony bangs his head I would like to add he mostly does that after eating wheat. His body definitely cannot handle wheat and when he does eat it his behavior is affected.
