Yes I did, and no, it isn't allowed...

If you use a mobile phone it's dangerous because they send signals out to anywhere, and the signals can effect the cockpit instruments;)

But a normal digital camera won't send any signals, so you can use him safely;)

These days you can record with your mobile phone if it has flight mode, very usefull the only thing is that the cabin crew thinks you are calling or something like that so its not very recommended to use it :P

@PSkyflyer About the mobiel phone, no. Tha tis totally not true. If you can hurt the instruments with an normal mobile phone, Bin Laden would need an iPhone 3GS to bring down a plane,... So that is so not true. It is al fake. They just do not want you to use a mobile phone, because they don't work. They won't effect the plane at all!
