You should keep the meals unopened. When you unwrapped the meals before the test you are contaminating the bread and the meat with your hands or the environment. Next test: dont open the food before the test.
The mold you observe is a common contaminant (yeast) of penicillium or aspergillus fungus. It is not poisonous
well if you leave almost any organic thing outside or in a container like you did for two weeks it will grow mold.. its just common biology.. moist on organics turns to mold in time, with the right tempature changes.
@ubersteigen i agree, but i also know people have self control as well... i believe that if a warning is placed on the foods then they can't be held liable for peoples actions
If you or the food preparer touched the food before packing or then repackaged it then mold would be assured. You need to wear medical gloves in these cases if your goal is to test the food and not if the organisms off your hand can grow mold, because we know those can.
nice vid im surprised. you are in Australia your food standards could be different than the US i also didnt have any mustard or Ketchup on mine. there could be different molds in Australia to. but you have to admit they should be moldier after two weeks dont you think.
2 weeks is nothing for fast food fries.... are you keeping them longer? the guy that did super size me documentary kept them in a glass jar by themselves and they stayed hard and mold free for months before the assistant threw them out without asking.
My experiment with the burgers was WAAAY gross - but I left them for 6 months.
I'd toss the burgers - you've already seen what's happened... IT's going to get REALLY nasty smelling - might make you sick ;-)
Food in other countries is different from food in the US. Different countries different standards, of which the US has none!

He did it wrong he is not supposed to make direct contact with the test subject

Watch Food inc and you can see what sort of food standards the Americans have. It may be that we have better food standards on the Aussie versions.
