this movie is a dumb as mel gibson. we always thought of this movie as a comedy. however, it has a huge following below the Mason-Dixon line and in areas of the country where people live near swamps.
I bought this movie years and years ago when it first came out. The quality of the film and audio was real bad, but Mel was just great in it. It was the first time that I had seen Mel Gibson and I promptly fell in love with him. It was his great acting in this sweet and wonderful film that did it.
I have to stop myself from watching this video and messing up the actual movie when I see it some day. same with the only video on mrs. soffel . I love him
Wow, I didn't know anyone else loved this film. I rented the video over and over until I found it in a Kroger on video and in Food Lion on Dvd. I love it and have watched it over and over. It touches the heart.
Hubba, hubba!! He was always my first choice for the role of Meggie Cleary's love child with Father Ralph in "The Thorn Birds" mini-series. Yup, he should've been Dane because he was described as an ADONIS, and that actor that portrayed him didn't even come close!
I so love that movie, and the music was perfect. Tim. A Forrest Gump long before that was ever made. Lovely. Remember when she found him sitting up in bed and crying?
