ok that is totally fucked up i love the stooges but man...that sign on that guy's wooden leg was really messed up, i guess cuz WW2 had passed and they were trying to make light of all the solider's injuries...trying to brighten people's mind or something?
@bitchasswolfboy wrongo world war 2 had not yet hapended or at least not american involvement this short was made in 1939 two years beforeww2 ww1 was what had passed post no bills was refercing the depression wich was going on at the time and the fact that the man had a wooden leg wich at the time prostetecs had not yet been developed as they are today i rember my great uncle had lost his leg in ww2 and when i was a kid he had a prostetec leg wich had cartoon careters all over it he use to show
@104dragonman - Here's the definition for a tamale according to my word processor:
ta·ma·le
ta·ma·le [tə mlee]
(plural ta·ma·les)
n Mexican dish: a Mexican dish made by mixing fried chopped meat with peppers and seasonings, rolling the mixture in cornmeal dough, wrapping it in corn husks, and then steaming it.
[Late 17th century. Back-formation < American Spanish tamales , plural of tamal < Nahuatl tamalli ]
The role of Sherry Rumsford was portrayed by the beautiful Lorna Gray, who just turned 94!!! ,but without a credit the socialite to Curly's left was played by actress Ann Doran, who went on to a long television career, appearing in many TV programs, such as The Odd Couple and M*A*S*H. Enjoy this one, the cream puff Lorna got in her mouth is the best accuracy I've ever seen in a Stooge movie!! Kudos! and Bullseye!!!!!
Watch at 6:39, the creampuff that goes into the actress' mouth really gets lodged in there. According to Moe Howard, it blocked her windpipe and caused a few anxious moments before they got it out.
@flint55 - However, Adrian Booth (who was known as Lorna Gray when she played the role of the impetuous socialite Sherry Rumsford) later claimed at one of the Stooges' conventions in the early 2000's that the creampuff didn't exactly lodge into her throat, but the accuracy of the throw into her mouth did stun her, as you could see through her reaction; in short, the "creampuff in the windpipe" may've been one of those (in Stooge-ese) "oiban legends."
I recognized one of the guys at the dinner table was also the army sergeant from Boobs In Arms, which was released a year later.

Ok, you know Moe has too much faith in his eye pokes when he uses them on a piece of food!

I know right. That was always my favorite part in this episode.
hunk84 6 months ago
@sonrouge, lol! Well, I guess you can't blame him since, far more than any other gag, the eye pokes seem to get them out of more jams.
