This is an incredible film - so sad that the distributors could not succeed in the UK.

The DVD is available at Amazon and the supermarkets like Tesco. Why the failure to promote this wonderful film in the cinemas except a handful of local old picture houses?

So little is known about Tolstoy apart from his two masterpieces War and Peace and Anna Karenina. His greater philosophical works are much more entertaining and that was his opinion. I have a website to promote his works tolstoy.org.uk

If anyone but Helen Mirren takes the Oscar for Best Actress, the Academy will be doing itself a great disservice. Hers is a monumental performance, full of nuance, histrIonics, compassion, heartfelt and pure. She's simply astounding!

Yes I have been waiting as well! McAvoy get's In to that sublime place and delivers! It is from harsh backgrounds that great actor's come. JM is on the path. He tries and succeeds to become of love when he acts and so we lose our selves in the watching of the movie--only to awaken in amazement at having done so. Bravo James! You will go far indeed, maybe one day we can work together on a script of mine--because few others are of Consciousness enough to deliver the real world.
