@ballereast do you ride? because you would know, that no matter how safe youre driving, its the other people on the road you should be watching out for. takes one mistake for them to take you out. and if you have gear on, when someone makes a mistake, the damages to you are going to be less severe. ive only fallen twice so far (thank god..) and both times were due to other people making mistakes, i got rear ended, and side swiped. and i was riding safely mind you. so thats why gears important.
