  • 2 favorite parts : 1:10 & 1:40 [:

  • Alex Wong has incredible flexibility, precision, and techniques. He is a talented dancer hard to ignore. Why he has not become famous like someone with much less talent but already famous. Those who got famous without the same level of talent or even much less talent because they have connection and they belong to preferential group of people in the entertaining field. I hope Alex Wong will be known for his talent...He deserves a big applause.

  • I am so jealous of his talent. :C

  • im doing 5678 showtime this year, does anyone know if he'll be judging or doing the convention?

  • who was the choreographer for this piece?

  • @angellpy The choreographer was Rachael Poirier.

  • Comment removed

  • @angellpy Proof from Alex Wong's youtube site of the same performance. Says the choreographer's information in the information below the video. :)

  • Uauuuu... very goooooooood

  • He was sooooo born to dance! :)

  • He was sooooo born to dance! :)

  • is he canadian?

  • i stop watch SYTYCD when alex left the show.... i wanting him to win and he kept me anticipating his next routine every time......

  • 1:09 HOLY JESUS!

  • 1:09 HOLY JESUS!

  • Alex is amazing

  • lk Legit I Love this Guy N He wud have won this season n Last Season of SYTYCD!

  • did u try oriental dance?

  • i don't know what he is after watching that. he and billy bell are like two freaks from space. i mean, good lord, how can you move your legs like that

  • i watched this show for a long time and i never seen any dancer as good as him. come on he is perfect as he is he doesn't have to try even. i stopped watching so u think u can dance as well as many ppl i know cuz he wasnt in it any more the show was so boring. SYTUCD made the biggest mistake i believe. they should if fought, changed the rules or w.e. to keep him cuz he would if won and got them many more viewers.

  • @Edomism You do know he left because he was injured?

  • hes born to dance!

  • he is mesmerizing and a GENIUS at dance -- some people learn to dance and some are born to dance -- i think we can figure out which alex is -- i could watch him do anything in dance and i would want to see it over and over and over - what a career he has ahead of him -- star star star baby!

  • hes amazing

    energy drinks

  • Anyone know the song?

  • @GojuRunOff , @newstyledancer08 the track is called "Butterfly 747" by Moloko, from the album 'Do you like my tight sweater.' its pretty old, from 1997.

  • just hope SYTYCD got Alex one of the best if not the BEST Sport Med Surgeon..

  • i wish his recover

  • It's a huge disappointment...tear.

  • I am just so in love with this Man. Still praying for his recovery. I don't want to watch SYTYCD if he's not on it.

  • honestly, i no longer look forward to SYTYCD this summer cuz Alex is not there

  • @mimitriplethreat feel the same way

  • I liked this routine - his dancing seems to be atypical than that of a normal ballet dancer. (yet my knowledge of ballet is miniscule at best. :P ) I believe this boy is super-human. I hope that he will go far on SYTYCD.

  • He is the ultimate artist/dancer & choreographer! Talented in every genre. I hope he wins SYTYCD this year!

  • he's definitely good, but his moves are just so bizarre

  • spectacular

  • he's just so powerful ! i'm jealous !

  • You are Canadian! Yey! I am so proud of you. If only I could vote on SYTYCD... I'll ask my relatives and friends there to vote for you! Go win it for us, ye Canuck!

  • what the name of the song

  • *loves* Alex Wong... AMAZING!!! xoStephy :P

  • honestly, he would have won this season of SYTYCD

  • @jazzbassist23

Alex is on the American version of the SYTYCD 2010. He is so far the best. Stay in tone to watch him.

  • @jazzbassist23 I think so too! He's just amazing!

  • @jazzbassist23 You're right! If he hadn't been injured, he would've easily won! That was so unfortunate!

  • @jazzbassist23 yeah he was suppose to win that season..so mad he injured himself and i was hoping he would come back this summer but i guess not

  • 1:11-1:12 amazing i have been trying to do that for ever

  • He didn't do anything to make them seem bad, It's the Miami City Ballet for god's sake - nothing you can make them seem bad! And yes, MOST of their work - sorry to say it, IS classical ballet. They do branch out, mix it up, add a contemporary flair, but classical ballet is where they typically stay.

  • wish he'd come to San Diego CA would love to see him!

  • he tried for SYTYCD because he wanted to try different varieties because he is under a contract with a company and he wants to explore. -I'm saying this only ecause I know him

  • I dont know why he would even want to enter SYTYCD! He can already dance!!! He IS a dancer!!

  • agreed

  • The reason why he went to SYTYCD is because he wanted to explore many varieties of dance without breaking his contract, and I heard if you agree the contract, you can't go to other dance studios to learn/dance there, until the contract has been lifted or expired

  • it isn't about already being a dancer, it's having a goal and exploring your talent and options thats all. .

  • You are absolutely right Dillistri. Admittedly, I would have LOVED to see him dance the other styles. I really hope he decides to audition again once his contract is finished.

  • I would want to see what he can do with his own cheorography.

  • what is this song called?

  • it looks exactly like the piece in the audition of the show SYTYCD

  • Igottasaythatilovealexwong!Canadaianhottie!!!

    How old is he?

  • he's 22

  • hey! he did this routine in his audition! right around 1:10

  • he didn't make it on SYTYCD?!! mistake, he's amazing

  • yes! i agree that he is amazing...

but they did want to take him to the top 20 on sytycd.... the only problem was that the people who own his contract with the Miami City Ballet would not let him out of it... so they could nto take him on the show. It was really a bummer, i was really sad because he is breath taking

  • He should be on SYTYCD!!!!! He was like the best at the dance school i went to when i was younger.

  • So im an avid watcher of both American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance...and i have never been soo more shocked and upset that Alex didnt make it into the finals...I wanna go to Miami and see him. Such an amazing dancer! I wish I could dance half as good as him!

  • I completely agree! I almost cried when I heard that he would be unable to participate simply because of his contract with the Miami City Ballet. Stupid prior commitments! lol

  • He made his company seem bad by trying to force their hand. As you can see it's not like he's doing boring classical ballet. He's performing famous choreo at MCB...it's no big deal to have to wait a year.

  • My Favorite Dance Video's online at times I feel ppl don't apreacheate the talent blood, sweat n tears that goes on to be as talented as Alex Wong.

Being a Fitness Trainer training people come to me all the time and ask me to help them only to find out how hard the work can be, the time it takes the effort to become such. They want the sex appeal (side effect from this type of fitness) but then to add the talent of Dance as Alex does is more then most can comprehend. I much-admire Alex.

  • Would have enjoyed it more without the obnoxious audience participation! Stupid girls! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • to be honest SYTYCD is boring now that Alex is not there

  • @canectar

totally agree canectar...mot likely will on longer watch

  • Omg! Anyone who's watching this, this was his audition piece for SYTYCD!XD There some minute differences b/c you can tell from :58 to 1:14 that its the same choreography. This piece was amazing.

  • I believe both pieces (Tiger and this one) were choreo'd by Frenchwomen Rachel Poirer. I know she choreo'd Tiger for sure.

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • if ever theres super stars of dance with canadians he should be a soloist for sure

  • Wow! Wow! 5*s

  • wow. excellent.

  • amazing!!!
