  • I love this

  • effing bomb!! I want that smoothness and flow <3

  • Isa, just watched this again, this performance has nurtured my creativity with SO much inspiration. You rock. I'm watching it with a friend right now and she's drooling. Keep up the good work!!!

    <3

  • Damn sexy. I love her style.

  • 16 people are crazy if they dont like glittergirl's poi spinning.

  • TUNEEEE! sorry im a huge p!nk fan!!! :) you're the only person i know thats ever done poi to p!nk, I LOVE YOU!!!! :) and yes i do spin too with fire its great but you, you are somthin' else! ;) :D

  • Love the speed you spin your poi, so good to see someone not afraid of going a little faster than everyone else!

  • Definitely one of my favorites. So Beautiful, and so inspired.

  • Movie is working now. :D. Perhaps they were waiting on Youtube to get the song link up so that the vid was lining up with Youtube's mandatory agreement with UMG or whoever it is that owns the rights to the song.

  • @gothandreaz thanks for saying!

  • Horrible song and the safeway logo in the back kills the performance.

  • @littlelea86 sorry you didn't like it. it was a canned food drive safeway and the san francisco food bank held -- the logo was unavailable. ;)

  • I love your style. I watch you for inspiration. I like your use of circle sizes for visual images and how your dance style keeps the eye on you and the poi.

  • @benderapoiartist thanks for both noticing and commenting! :) i have some free lessons on line at glittergirlpoi and my practice videos are on the youtube channel gotfiredancing -- maybe they will inspire you also! :)

i really do try to dance and create a visual journey through contrast (size, speed, location, for example) -- always great to be seen. :)

  • Isa! Very, very nice. We've been fb friends for years now and i've seen the pics but this is the first video of you i've seen. Nice rhythm, nice moves, plenty of confidence, and i love the way you respond to your audience, that's the difference between performing and spinning ;-) Thank you now i have to go practice haha

  • @magicstunts thanks for noticing and appreciating what I'm bringin! :)

  • Glitter I must say you always amaze me!!

  • @Sin7406 thanks so much! :)

  • i love your poi , i really want to get into it but have always felt that im to curvy to do it , but you have inspired me to have a go :D thank you xxx

  • @sofalishus too curvy? hmmm... by whose standard? only you have to enjoy it. it's not like you have to perform. and, even if you are "too curvy" -- if you do it, love it and it shows, people will appreciate it, or at least a lot of them will. :)

  • @RajaJayasinghe wow.... poi is not about sex appeal... its about the dam balls flying around on fire that makes it pretty!!!

  • @Mrspinnnnn Ur right.

  • @Mrspinnnnn well, i think sex appeal is part of it... or can be... :)

  • @RajaJayasinghe

You wouldn't know talent if it kicked you in the crotch. My only complaint would be too much ambient light, so you don't get to see that interplay of shadow and light that makes fire dancing so mesmerizing to watch.

  • @WorBlux yeah, but without the light, you wouldn't see me dancing. I'm actually much more a dancer than spinner, so i'd rather more light where you can see me than too little light where it's all about the fire and not the dancer. that's just me though. :)

  • @RajaJayasinghe obviously i'm not way too heavy to be spinning because clearly i am. and i do it well. and, i do respect your preferences. but to say i'm too heavy is obviously just inaccurate. ;)

  • Now that's slick!

  • @69Megatron thanks! :)

  • damn hot and she moves gracefully ^^ that and i loves fire ^^

  • @runwiththepack thanks!! :)

  • Started firestaff! SO much fun!! I'm going to be doing flaming nunchucks next! Woo! I'm so excited, this video inspired me just that much more. :)

  • @420BMichelle glad to provide inspiration!!!

  • Bravo! That was marvelous, thank you!

  • Grrrl, where you get them bad-ass threads!

  • @suz665 like most of my clothing, i made them. you can get ideas on my costume webiste at upcycleheaven daught com. ;)

  • That was really awesome! Really entertaining and really cool moves.

  • @arc0648 thanks!

  • Loved it!

  • Why is the video not playing on firefox or youtube any more? grrr...

  • @Archaewok1 weird. it just played for me. hmm...

  • Beautiful.. =D Amazing variations and supernice moves!! It's great synchronizated with music, and great dance moves.. =D I think more interesting and nicer is dancing with poi (like u do=), than spinning with poi... =D goooooooooood :)

  • @Fueegen that's my preference too!!! glad you enjoy it! you can see some ideas on my practice channel at gotfiredancing or free lessons on glittergirlpoi :)

  • Nice tricks,and movement,but I think slower It would be a bit nicer =)

    But nice =))

  • @Marthy000 yeah, people say i spin fast all the time. i never feel that way.. it's always weird to me. . . thanks for the feedback though! :)

  • You're very good. I plan to get into this kind of stuff for my church. Too bad the weather is getting colder, otherwise i would see if Glitter was interested in performing for us. So many realms of creativity out there that people have not tapped into.

  • @Archaewok1 I so agree -- it's one of the cool things about being involved in an art form when it's so young!

  • Very impressive. Loved the buzzsaw on the horizontal plane very nice.

  • @OdaFisher thanks! one of my favorites and pretty easy to learn!

  • SKILLZ

  • Wow, you are awesome!!

  • @Yay3reika thanks! :)

  • i love ur poi style!

    its dancing with technique!

  • @ratbornlibran thanks for seeing that! I strive for it. I actually have some new videos that I hope to get out in the next few weeks from this summer/fall that are even more of that by my own standards. :)

  • @ratbornlibran thank you for noticing!! I appreciate it! :) check out the clip i just posted the other night -- you might dig that cause there's more tech in it. :)

  • Its nice to see a curvy woman doing it as im starting firestaff soon and all the tutorials are filled with real skinny performers, its nice to see someone who isn't like that, its shows you don't have to be stick thin inorder to perform.

  • but it helps :)

  • @trippyshitman Ha! i wonder if it does! i think it's all about the practice and dedication! but then, i've never been a skinny girl, so maybe i'm just ignorant! ;)

  • @trippyshitman yeah, it does.

  • @cumgullet88 anyone can do it! I'm walking proof of that. i used to be a couch potato. poi changed my life!

  • @cumgullet88 you don't!!! and, it's intimidating sometimes not being that thin girl since i've never met another heavy pro fire dancer. Ever. and i've been doing this 11 years. ;)

  • Very nice spinning. Unfortunately, I have been programmed to always generalize fire spinning with tribal music, so the actual art and technique didn't fit with the music for me. Otherwise, you have great talent.

  • oh that's so funny to read. thanks for sharing. how cool to know that you liked it even though it didn't fit your expectations! what a gift! i actually am really trying to bring it out of the tribal realm as much as possible. :)

  • Excellent video!

  • The skill of creating a mix between technique of spinning and dancing entertainmen is what I was looking for: I think I've found it.

    :)

  • you could not give me higher praise. that is my ultimate objective when i perform. Many thanks. :)

  • its funny that people go crazy when she does simple things like BTB buzzsaw but when she does hard things they dont notice

  • I know! i feel that way too!

  • @j2b2man i will say the BTB bz, while easy, is made more complicated by balancing on one let, so maybe that's part of it.

  • shes not the best.. but she kick ass.. fluid..

  • glitter girl.. u are the best..

  • Gotta tell you , it is also refreshing not to see someone with their dress over there head, very classy!!!

  • Glitter Girl, you might be the best, graceful, unique,dancer-like, just amazing!!! Please post more!!! You have a fan base!!!

  • @whythethehelldoineed thank you so much for saying!!! check out the video i put up the other day -- bet you'll like it! :)

  • Finally somebody how can dance and spin da balls, good work! bravo

  • @Kiernik thanks for liking it! :)

  • the essence of beauty my dear

i'd love to see one of your shows !!

  • @sskkiittzzoo come to the expo in april!!!

  • Nice - I like your dancing! Often poi spinners know lots of moves with their poi - but not with their body ;-) Its very beatiful to see both in harmony!

  • @Tanzelarija i work at it all the time. you can see practice ideas on my youtube gotfiredancing channel and some free lessons at glittergirlpoi if that will help! :)

  • Beautiful! You're crazy inspirational. Keep it up!

  • @IntrepidDreams glad to inspire! :)

  • wow your incredible .if you would be interested in entering our fire dancing video contest and joining us check out our profile. and by all means tell your friends the more the merrier.

  • @UnitedFireDancers well, i'm thinking i'm 2 years too late for that! :) LOL

  • You have an incredible spinning style!!

    ~ SaFire ~

  • Very nice style. You make even the simplest movements captivating. You also bring a lot of dancing to the form; something that many fire "dancers" omit. Great job.

  • @joeworm11 thanks for noticing and saying!

  • I didnt like the music...

come on!!!! its a POI CULTURe

you must do it with psycho, gothic...

i dont know... Vodoo people would be an excellent option...

    all its cool!!!!

  • @livenz4 I'm not into that kind of music. I was making a personal evolution statement too. speaking to social memes as someone with a bi-hawk haircut. . .

  • I love your flow, it's really inspiring and refreshing. You're making poi in a very different run then most poi geeks thats out there right now :) For me It's very neat to rest my eyes upon your spinning and dancing.

Thank you so much for the inspiration and cant wait for your next update.. i see this is in December so you've must developed alot since then :)

    Thank you and Love!

    /Anna
