I am deeply saddened after watching this video. The injustice of this whole situation disgusts me. Tom Miyata doesn't even seem to be taking the situation seriously, he seems arrogant and cocky to the whole situation. Mufi should be ashamed of his staff.
Update: May 15, Mufi Hannemann corporation attorneys have filed lawsuit against owners. Owners have filed lawsuit against city. What a waste of taxpayers' money!

It's always offensive when city officials equate legality with morality. Just because eminent domain is technically legal doesnt mean an official should be so flippant wielding its power. The questioners bring up an excellent point: Cant you consult with the owner of a property before going through with a project? Even if the city is dead-set on acquiring the property, it would benefit the community to have an open dialogue and settle on a fair price. I can guarantee that is not happening here.
I just paid $20,000,00 in property taxes. I'm already in a foul mood. Other viewers describing these city workers as 'bumbling idiot' and 'clowns' are too nice . These clowns don't know what the hell they are doing. The city councilmen are asking common sense questions on the spot. It is obvious these basic questions never cross these idiots' minds.The city cannot afford to run a circus, get these bumbling idiot clowns out ot there. Don't waste our tax dollars.
