Was out of space .. As for the bible don't be naive, after thousands of years there surelly had been groups\thirds parties etc interested to control the masses of belivers. A sinple example is the coincidence of how the 10 amandaments seem to fit with the society rules while being bend to control our behavior in order to protect the welfare of the rich and corrupt. Phelps' anti-gay raging is about his own shame and repression, so we should call it what it really is.
Remember, for four decades (in the 1950s thru the 80s) when Phelps was dispensing his nonsense, people still believed macho rednecks who hung-out outside of gay bars to "beat up the queers" were doing so because they were ultra-straight.

As a straight man, all I can say is any god that would get wound up over two grown adults engaging in consensual sex, no matter what their genders, has some seriously screwed priorities. If someone wants to get in on the wrongs of cheating on someone you claim you are committed to, fine, but that's not the issue I'm addressing here. I recently saw a video where this college kid at a school they were protesting at, rather than doing the -protesting the protesters- thing, they set up their own little booth, and for everyone who contributed donations (they were donating money to all the places the WBC targets), they did it "in honor of the WBC" and for each one they were sending thank you cards to the WBC for it, since it was their presence who enabled it. AWESOME idea!

I think you should consider picking up a psychology book. A person dose not choose to be gay. One of the main causes is improper hormone levels during the prenatal development. In males its more common for the 2nd born to be more likely to be homosexual bc of exposer to lower levels of prenatal testosterone which could reflect a hormonal influence on male homosexuality. This is a small bit of info in my college book (Psychology an introduction by Benjamin B. Lahey) 10th edition
