I'm sorry talli but you are high on crack if you truly believe everything you posted on here. There are numerous legit stories, about how he overly engulfed himself in the role, and the stress that put on him...which led to him only being able to sleep 2hrs a night at the most. When he died, he had painkillers, anti depressants, and sleeping pills...which the 2 doctors that they had interviewed said, is a lethal combination, no matter the amount taken those are not drugs you are supposed to mix.
@TheMrzross the joke is how some simple things such as spelling "anna" "hannah" xanax" are spelled the same forwards and backwards, using the jokers humor to portray the sick side of it all
i get that. But isn't it wrong to make all those assumptions about what led to his death. It's silly to suggest that Heath had some kind of psychological issues because of the role.
@EskimoElite well, i implied negative effect. No, roles should not negatively affect an actor. They should only have a positive effect. Because what other than joy, happiness, excitement, and increase in knowledge and wisdom could an actor experience from the act of creativity?
@Talli732 I didn't say that roles should negatively effect the actors.
I am arguing that they can and do though.
As nice as "the act of creativity" sounds, it can mess up your mind. The stress of fame, the power to corrupt of money, the Joker role- these are all factors that lead me to believe that this poem rightly points to Hollywood as at least a contributor to Ledger's suicide--if it was suicide, and to his accidental death if it was that. I think that it helped drive him to drugs at least.
@Talli732 "Ledger had acknowledged that his brooding character drained him physically and mentally and caused him to have trouble sleeping, a condition for which he said he took prescription pills."
Fox News covers a story that tells how Jack Nicholson warned him against ambien, but the role may have driven him to drugs-- it caused stress that made him want some form of help.
@EskimoElite that's incorrect. Fox News, really? People still think its a legitimate source of news?
Ledger said the role left him physically exhausted. (Because when you're on set 14 hours a day, fully using your body to portray a character, and constantly coming up with new interesting things to do in a scene why wouldn't you be physically exahust?)
there was never any mention by him of being mentally drained because of the role, or having trouble sleeping because of the role.
@Talli732 Are you a reporter who has found FoxNews to be just making up quotes now? (You seem confident in denying what they report-- but do you have a source? Have his parents denied his ever having said that the character drained him mentally and caused him sleeping problems?
@EskimoElite not only have his parents denied, his close friends, and fellow actors who have worked with him on the production have stood up and scolded the media for these misreports and false allegations. I will find you the video where he says it.
@EskimoElite found the video for you. "It was hard stamina wise, because high levels of energy were required every day, but it was incredibly enjoyable."
@EskimoElite Ledger DID say he had trouble sleeping in GENERAL ever since he was young (Fox News being the piece of shit they are, twisted his words up).
Jack Nicholson never said he warned heath ledger. Jack Nicholson even cleared this up in an interview "I've never met or spoken to Heath Ledger." What happened was, when Jack Nicholson was approach outside of a club with the question of the death over sleeping pill overdose, he said "I warned them...i warned them about sleeping pills"

I mean damn! The poem was obviously about more than Heath Ledger. Subject but not the target.. Amazing piece & flawlessly performed.

I saw this live. Jones is a passionate poet. This is a disturbing and insightful look at the darker potential of Hollywood.
Well done sir.

@Talli732 Is it that silly?
I mean, I think it'd be silly to think that roles don't effect actors. Or comedians. Anyone who really gets into it.

@EskimoElite what does the role of the joker have to do with any of it.

@EskimoElite it's a classic case of piece of shit journalists trying to make a story more dramatic than it really is.
Talli732 4 months ago
hi, hello, excuse me. what is he trying to imply with that?
Talli732 5 months ago
@Talli732 basically he did a poem about Heath Ledgar's life and what led to his death by using his portrayal of his character the Joker.
