I've been throwing Valkyrie's for seven years now and I don't depend on its roll, she'll skip at the end of its flight but there's no roll to it. Who is this guy and does he even know what he's talking about?
I used to have this disc it was the first one i started with so i still love it but i have lost it. So now i use a wraith not sure what i think of it but i bet it will be fine like all disc are
this is the most useless video i have ever watched in my life...if i could tell this guy or even this channel "expert village" one thing it would be to stop wasting this guys breath and my time and stop making videos
@kgstandridge I had a champ boss with the same problem. Unless you have an arm like the governator, thats what bosses do. They are meathooks. I would suggest trading it on discaroo. Thats what I did. I throw valks, beasts, roadrunners, and wraiths for my drives, buzz or squall for midrange, and nothin beats the kcpro aviar for the putts.
i just got a champion boss.. it moves very quickly through the air... after throwing a star valkyrie.. the boss has a very high tendancy to turn left hard. any suggestions to fix this?
i just got a champion boss.. it moves very quickly through the air... after throwing a star valkyrie.. the boss has a very high tendancy to turn left hard. any suggestions to fix this?
@kgstandridge Trade it on discaroo. Thats what I did. Unfortunately, you gotta have an arm like the governator to throw a boss straight. If the valk works for you, stick with it. I throw valks, wraiths, roadrunners, and beasts. Of course, anyone who plays should have a buzz. The buzz is the best disc ever made.
I just recently lost my Valkyrie and looking for a new distance driver. Im 14 and throw with my right arm backhand. Anyone got any suggestions for a good distance driver?
"....its immediate tendency is to come this way. So if you throw the disc this way, then its tendency is to go this way, and what will happen is-" i facepalmed this entire video
Idk what you guys are talking about. I have a 175 champion valkyrie and if anything it's a tiny bit overstable. It's my favorite driver I've ever owned.
@ATXrollerblader All discs will fade left when they slow down (if you throw right hand back hand) and will turn right at high speed. The question is how slow is slow and how fast is fast. If you're not throwing very fast then all discs will seem overstable. If you can throw 350' or so you should be able to throw a valkyrie flat and have it turn right and not come back.
@ATXrollerblader Valkyrie's are great molds in older plastics, the champion material they use these days sucks ass. I agree though, they start out with a lot of stability but they beat into understable.
i just started up playing disc golf and i was wondering what distance drivers are the best for starting out..... i went and bought an innova groove just cuz it looked sweet but on one of the web sites it said it wasnt verry beginner friendly should i take it back before i bust it up? what do you think?
@Mcdaddypball Yes take it back!!!! Not a good disc. Go for a innova beast or maybe like a discraft xl. and dont spend a lot of money when your buying your first discs just get DX plastic (innova) or pro D plastic (discraft) to start out.
@Mcdaddypball they have starter sets that come with a driver, a mid range, and a putter for like 25 bucks its good to start out with thats what i got as my first discs
this stupid jackass never actually demonstrates his alleged 350 to 400. i can actually throw that far, with a variety of different discs, including my midrange at the 350 mark. this guy is an all-talk, slow speaking jackass. expert village is the village missing its idiot, and this guy is him.
@DJglasgowSon In his "how to throw a distance disc" video he throws an anhyzer shot a whole 251' feet. LOL. It looks like a violent convulsion. There's no way this guy can throw 350'-400' without a tail-wind and a canyon. I'd love to see him throw a putter. hahah
@FizzyP I've seen him throw 400' easy, this is from a long time ago and he did it w/o the intention of it ending up on You Tube. It was just for some guys school project or something.
@sagillarious If he's so great now, he should take these videos down. They're absolutely awful. Most of what he says is wrong and the rest is either incomprehensible or useless. Please, look at his other videos. THEY'RE TERRIBLE. They give bad advice and would dissuade any normal person from touching a golf disc. If you know this guy, please tell him to delete them (many others agree with me.) So, really, sagillarious = "typical disc golf bag dude", right?
@FizzyP He's not the one who put them up here so he has no control over it. He knows that he didn't really have it down and that this isn't what people should be learning off of but some guy put these up on the net and made money off of them. I'm sure he agrees with you
I love valkyries but this guy is stupid when talkin about the discs he probably doesnt play and reads up on the discs i throw a 171 champ valk and it is and amazing understable disc
lol even though innova calls it a stable disc. I will admit it's on the understable side of overstable discs. And actually he didn't tell the whole truth it just has equal high speed turn(right for right hand back hand) as it has low speed fade. So it makes it want to S if you give it enough space and time.
I use my Valkyrie everytime I frolf!! My brother got a Hole in One with it just a few days ago. It's great for beginners and also for people who lack a sifficient amount of arm strength. If thrown correctly, mine starts out going left, but compensates right. Perfect.
Today I threw my valkyrie at a local course, a downhill shot i forhanded through the woods, and it ended up in the mucky muddy pond that we get every summer... The Valkyrie is i think the best disc for people with slower arm speeds and beginners, and downhill or shots with the wind. I actually went out of my way to buy a new Valkyrie today because I am playing tomorrow and without it I would probably die. Buy a Champion Valkyire today!!
rexinator - if you intend on throwing it low you need to release it on a hyzer so it pops up to flat then fades at the end. If you release it flat and throw it low it will turn into the ground. Those things are, of course, dependent upon you throwing it with enough power and wrist snap to get it to do what it is designed to do. If you are not throwing with enough power or snap then the disc will have less of a tendency to turn into the ground if released flat. Hope that helps!
Actually, I just got the valkyrie, and it seems to suit me well. I do throw low, but I have a slight upward tilt, so it manages to have a nice long glide above the ground before it lands. I don't know what's wrong, but my valkyrie doesn't do the -2 turn so well. It feels more like -1. Like you said, iut must just be the way I'm throwing it. Oh well, it's been working great for me anyways.
Pick up a innova destroyer get it in DX plastic see if you like it I throw destroyers and I throw low and I have thrown a RHBH 420 ft with my destroyer
I throw the surge and avenger made by discraft. Every time I throw it, it goes straight for about 80 feet inthen a hard right at the end. the weight is 172 and I am told to use two fingers. Need help!
it's obviously too understable for you, OR you're putting waayyy too much anhyzer on it. Either way, try releasing at a huge hyzer with a lot of snap. You prolly already know all this, but hope it helps!
ditto.... I think it is SUPER FUNNY how this guy thinks he knows all this sheeet about disc golf... but really, everything that comes out of his mouth is wrong, distorted, and just plain and simple REALLY BAD TIPS and ADVICE! ... EXPERTVILLAGE--> Stop making these terrible videos until you have a PDGA rating of 1000 OR BETTER! (i bet his isn't even a PDGA member.. heh)
F. All discs used in play, except mini marker discs, must be uniquely marked in ink or pigment-based marking which has no detectable thickness. 172 is the best weight though..
