if i don't have a spotter i usually bench press with dumbbells, it's more effective excercise than barbell benchpress and if i can't do anymore i just drop em down
@megaguitar01 you fucking idiot smith machine bench puts your shoulders and your torso joints in an unnatural postion fucking you up over time , bench FREE WEIGHTS and roll the bar off of you you fucking pussy , did you even read my commet ? or just you happened to see title of this video and went right ahead typing with your ass . you stupid cunt , no wonder you aint making progress for benching on that stupid smith machine , fucking retard
LOL, easiest way is if you fail , you can still push it 2 inch off your chest , push it and drag it trough your abdomen and then rest it on your legs , get up and deadlift it on the rack , SOO SIMPLE , i just cant understand why people dont use COMMON SENSE ,it makes me RAGE for fuck sakes . "i am afraid to work alone because i might get trapped under the bar" - NO SHIT YOU DUMB FUCK , i always rolled it off when i failed NO PROBLEM
PS (and I'm not talking to mr video man who obviously already knows his body) but most of you out there who need spotters and "grind" all day are probably overtraining/burning out your central nervous system which is fucking brilliant. Good job, dildos! This also depends on your genetics and target muscle group but I'm bringing it up for an opportunity to smash some gym myths..
I train 1-3 rep sets 5 days a week with no spotter, just like mr video man prob does
@donutdawg--I would agree the average trainee trains way too much for adequate recovery, many read about hero X in a mag on what they do for a routine and what they're not telling you is that this growth is greatly aided by Juice. The beginner will practically gain on almost anything at first and shortly burnout thereafter and quit the gym after 2-3 months, those who stay in the gym for the most part never do really progress. I suggest Ddarden, Leister and other low volume-high intensity rout.
@donutdawg What if u wanna get bigger, 1-3 reps won't do shit for you, and saying ppl should take 1-3 reps is also wrong cuz it also depends ALOT on how u execute the exercise if u do explosive reps or slow controled...
@punkforfuck If you can incur muscle stimulation in that range and eat at a caloric surplus with sufficient protein then you will gain muscle mass, I find 1-3 reps to be effective at this with certain exercises, so don't spread crap many people gain off these rep ranges.
@Shalskar ok fine, i am not going to say no no no, to that 1-3 reps may help some ppl gain muscle, but really ppl shouldn't blindly listen to either of us, cuz there bodytype may not take this or that training as good as for example me and you, Now im not sure what kind of bodytype u have, but am i right in witch that u already workedout for some time when u could gain on very few explosive reps?
@ottoneidert --You wouldn't be able to dump the failed load, many a person has died due to collars, don't use them unless you have spotter(s). Thank you.
@TVTruther only idiots die. put collars on, put your butt on the bench, press the weight you know you can do, and if you have to bail dont drop it on your neck, tis very very simple.
@ottoneidert --Your confused, if your not failing every once in awhile your not trying and even doing an easy 5 rep weight can have your shoulder rip (or whatever) and how is the collars going to help if you don't have a spotter? Those who lift alone are idiots if they need collars to feel "safe." Please pause your benches like Powerlfiters and forget the pause/bounce you see so much in gyms--it's safer.
way to go man good idea frind of mine told me no calers the very nexst night i got pind under 230 and had to dump it if it wernt for matt well no teling
I've been doing this (dumping it) for over 20 years, I don't recommend this unless it is a last resort, but it may save your life. As a 62 year old Masers lifter I'm currently training alone for my first Powerlifting meet in 13 years but I'm not using this technique, as my bar and plates are too slippery, I'm using spring clips which will come off and release the load if it is tilted wildly.
@tomjonesfitness--You got a point, some bars are too slippery to hold those plates, I have a Texas Power Bar and I don't like going without clips as the plate can and will slide. This bar is a 55lb Oly bar that is hard to make the plates slip off, no real knurling though.
@muzimuzi --I would love to have a spotter or training partner---but they all run away when it comes time for lower body day--I presume they're afraid to strain the milk.
DO NOT DO THIS. This is about the last thing you should do, and it all starts with your set-up. If you're benching without a spotter, your ideal spot is in a power rank with the bar catchers just above your chest. If the nearest height is too far above your chest to allow full motion, put plates under the bench to raise it.
If you have to bench without a spotter on a normal bench, USE SPRING CLIPS!!! Without clips, the bar and/or weights can go flying if you try to dump the weight to the side.
@phrisbee87 --I agree with you, only a certain type of strength can do this, if one cannot Squat or Deadlift 10x more than a BP max. Forget it. This is advanced strength and not for Captain upper bodies...... And when I say Squat, I'm not talking about those half Sq's I always see in the gym.
Im 17 and got stuck while I was at a gym alone. for a few minutes i was half resting it on my chest and half holding it when thankfully someone saw me and helped me out. Too bad I didn't watch this 4 days ago.
@bia12010 , I wash them once a month---the advantage of lifting in own private residence--it's amazing on how dirty they get and how clean they get when washed---usually the groin area gets so worn that it tears--that's when I throw them away; but if you want you can have them for rags.
I had a pet hamster (named: liberace) watch me lift and was in a very well armored constructed cage--but still not the cage didn't hold up after a dump. Still get tears on that one.
very nice, i think a lot of people would be scared to do this but a very nice tactic, notice how you did it on your chest and not halfway up to keep the bar swing to a minimum. Very nice, 93x must be from Minneapolis?
Yes, I'm a little North of Minneapolis in east central Mn, one must use the chest as the fulcrum base,, having a strong back from the spinal to the traps and strong abs, and legs will be needed for this to go easy. Thank you.
If your wrists are that weak--don't lift, look at that wrist power--all without any baby wrist wraps--real raw power for only real raw lifting. Raw is real power baby--don't get mad at it--emulate it. Thank you.
