It has nothing to do with "how good" the artists are. Its a tribute to his life and all their doing is respecting him. Johnny Cash took an ok song from nine inch nails and made it perfect, his ability to do that is what their respecting and what you should understand.

if you noticed every person in this video has in some way been brutally brought back down to reality. Each of them has at one time or another had to answer for thier "sins" . don't get me wrong everyone sins but this song is about having to answer for all of your actions and in the end life is a desease and the mortality rate is always 100%

pretty sure everyone in the music industry has heard of johnny cash, even before he died. considering where all this video got shown (CMT anyone?) i doubt justin timberlake adam levine and whoever else you're trying to say doesn't know johnny cash's music are simply advertising themselves. that's awfully presumptuous and ignorant of you to think that artists from a different genre and generation wouldn't want to pay respect to a man who set huge precedents for everyone in the music industry.
