@timeoutdean I was there for two weeks in 2001 and a couple we made friends with were encouraged by the locals to fetch food from the beach grill. They were caught and had their all inclusive wristbands confiscated and had to pay for food for the rest of the holiday. I suppose it was partially their fault because they were warned about this by the hotel staff when they checked in, as were we. I have stated nothing but FACT here and I don't know why you are becoming offended and going on a rant.

ouufff.. just got back from Sunset Jamaica Grande ocho rios on Saturday that has just passed and I UBER MISSSS IT :(

The entire staff is absolutely lovely and the entertainment is exceptional! DEFINITELY going back again next year!

He is originally from Kingston, Jamaica and we left my son in Kingston with his family and it was a nice break to get away and just relax. We did everything, even climbed the Duns River Falls....I cant wait to go back!!!!!!!!

Went here Oct 2008 and going back again this year, we went in a party of 11 ages from 1- 42 and we all found something to do, only downside as with most AI the food started to get boring in the second week,. The good thing about this resort is the location downtown ochi right on your doorstep, if its your first time do check out the craft markets. SJG WICKED.

This Is Actually The Best Place Ever Love It Espcially The Water Slide And The Choices Of Pools And The Water Trampolines. Its Close To Dolphin Cove Uu Can Actually See It From The Beach. And Just Round The Cove Is The Duns River Falls I Was Lucky Enough To Do Both Of These Trips And Family Did Nine Mile Which Is Amazin. My Sister Got Married Here And It Was Beautiful. The Beauty Salon Staff Are Freindly And Do A God Job. I Would Recomend This Amazing Hotel To Anyone.

OMG isnt it!!! I went to the one in Montego bay in 07 then this one in Ocho Rios in 08 and it made my year!!! My son is 3 and he CANT GET ENOUGH OF IT! so inexpensive too! I hope to return year after year!

Sunset Jamaica in Montego Bay

because , it has a pirate park and slides ,

it has a castle theme and its not that crowded as much as Sunset Jamacia Grande in Ocho Rios

The Grande is beautiful but watch 2 things:

1. if you wander off into the streets right outside, watch out for the "vultures", locals who try to give you a small sight-seeing walk around the area, then demand $50 US from you, just ignore them and walk straight ahead.

2. If you use the hotel phone, LOG YOUR MINUTES! At checkout, you will be charged w/ a huge bill with calls you most likely did not make. If you could, try and get a pre-paid cell phone @ the airport.

Otherwise,you'll enjoy it!

Spent 2 weeks, it was great fun every day, Even more fun outside the resort, very pricy but worth evey penny, if your on a budget this resort will work for you, my wife and our four kids had a ball! nice island to visit, cool peoples.
