They're specced for drifitng. Tyres, engines, pretty much everything. I got a friend who's uncle has an RX-7 with a 3cm turn diameter. Drifts like crazy at about 90+KM/H.

Most people with a decent rc car can drift, but they will first have to start out with special drifting tyres. Best way to learn is to slide around in circles then carry on the style into a corner. Other drifting parts are only extra's for hardcore drifting enthusiasts.

along with the tires, HPI offers a product called the D-box, which helps counter steer for you, if you've never drifted a rc car before it is a great learning tool.

electric is better for drifting. the constant high rpm and low airflow during drifting is too much for nitros...IMO
