  • I scrolled down to comment the following: "EPIC Moustache!"

Apparently i wasn't the only one thinking that as many of the comments say exactly that. But seriously, fucking EPIC!

  • Oh my goodness I love the moustache!

  • EPIC MOUSTACHES!!!

  • ahhh day 1 of my 7 day juice fast, not to much energy, but i did go to the gym in the morning. hungry, next door neighbors baking smells great. Good idea to drink slowly. beets go ok to, i just been throwing in vegies, kales leave, beet, spinach, cucumber, lemon appple. and carrot.

hope it gets better next few days, so tired.

  • Hi, is it normal to feel really cold after drinking juice? I've been juicing for a couple of days now, just once in the morning at the moment, and today I went cold and shivery and got stomach cramps about 15mins after drinking my juice (I juiced kiwi fruit, kale, cucumber, apple, carrot and a bit of parsley and ginger). Thanks

  • Hey @geengeena congrats on beginning to juice! That cold feeling + shivering + cramping sounds like classic detox symptoms. Juice is awesome at prompting detox because it floods your body with instantly usable nutrients, allowing you to do some internal clean-up. While your body adjusts to its healing new breakfast, try drinking slower & go easy on super sweet fruit like apples, kiwi, pineapple, etc. They have a lot of fructose which many ppl have trouble digesting at first. <3

  • epic mustache.

  • @skintightpanda oh shit i should read comments before posting

  • you guys rock.

  • I just tried looking for your post " "Liver Cleansing Made Easy" but could not find it on Effortless Vitality. Can you please send me a link?

  • @tonysierra1970 Link sent :) For other liver lovers, head to EffortlessVitality and either use the search box or copy+paste: /liver-cleansing-made-easy

  • I'm starting my 60 day juice cleanse for weightloss today. I'm posting daily videos. Thanks for the recipe. Of course, I love cleansing properties and I need to feel better. I miss my juice high.

  • Thanks!

  • I like your mustache :D

  • Brilliant! Been juicing for a few months now, and I can't recommend it enough!!! Thanks for posting

  • Nice job!!!

  • Thank you for saying to DRINK IT SLOW! So many people gulp down fresh jucie WAY to fast and make themselves sick.

  • love this. I'm going to invest in a decent juicer this week. I need to lose weight, but apart from that i want to do it for the health benefits an for energy. So sick of eating crappy foods that i dont even enjoy anymore. Cant wait to try this..

  • I juiced for years but came to the conclusion that it makes so much more sense to use the WHOLE (cored or peeled only if necessary) fruits and veggie and blend them into a smoothie in the blender...it's less processed, there's a lot less valuable waste, less ingredients, less time, less mess, and MORE nutritional benefits!!! Just put the juiciest foods like oranges in the bottom of the blender to get it spinning.

  • That was a really sweet video and I am going to definately try the green recipe you showed. Thanks for sharing :)

  • I have gallstone issues. Also I'm pretty sure my liver isn't performing as it should. Do you have any suggestions or recipes specifically for the liver? Thanks

  • @scumbubbles1 You & your body have perfect timing! I just posted an article on Effortless Vitality called "Liver Cleansing Made Easy". Check it out & leave me a comment w/ your thoughts. For juicing, your liver will love the high sulfur content in recipes that contain collard greens or kale & the malic acid in apples. Fresh grapefruit juice (not mixed w/ other ingredients) and lemon or lime added to pure water also do wonders. Green juice in general is fantastic for the liver & whole body :)

  • @EffortlessVitality Pharmaceutical companies make no money off of Plants!! Raw foods and Juicing cure everything!! Great Vid!

  • @scumbubbles1

Try the Andreas Moritz liver cleanse.

  • @scumbubbles1 Hey check out the olive oil a lemon cleanse it would flush out the stones in a day. I did it and it worked great.

  • @Curitiba0507 Awesome questions. Neither of us have been sick in years. Not even a little cold. We decided to get serious about nutritional prevention & internal cleansing about 4 years ago & we're proof it works :) We get a lot of questions about cost so I just decided to do a video on how to juice affordably while staying organic + mostly local. Yes it's 100% possible! Plus having zero medical costs is a HUGE extra savings. Subscribe to our channel to be notified when the new video goes live!

  • Thanks for posting!!!

  • Mustache Mustache Mustache!!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just have a normal mixer not a powerful blender or vitamix. Can I make green/fruit smoothies with it ? It would be great if you could point me to some recipes. Thank you.

  • I have started juicing. I bought a $40 machine .(just to get started to see if I liked it) Ive heard it takes too much effort, but i find it much easier then cooking a meal ...I think I might be hooked.

  • I often make juice and save half for next day... better than not drinking it!

  • I was curious, how long can you store the juice before it loses its nutritional value?

  • Someone get that woman away before he ties her to some railroad tracks!

  • @MayDayWatson5 I'm in tears laughing!

  • can you juice marijuana??

  • @matttheking2006 You can! Hemp leaves are a nutrient packed superfood. At present, there are 16 US states that allow the cultivation of medical MJ. If your state allows it, contact a local grower and ask for the leaves that they are likely throwing away. Juice those babies and let us know how it goes. There will be 0% THC, but you will still get a juice high! :D

  • @GrabTheApple @BADBRYZ @MayDayWatson5 We should have warned you. Green juice may influence you to grow facial furnishings that are so intensely awesome as to induce mental time travel in all who see you. Grow at your own risk! (And high 5 for the Gangs of New York reference. Love that aesthetic!)

  • @EffortlessVitality lol the guy reminds me of omni man ..eh em, on a serious note could i have that recipe ? and i would like to know ..how do you know how much fruit to use ? how do i use an even mix like you guys ?

  • Did green juice make that happen to your mustache?

  • Very informative video. Thanks! I'm curious... Did you shoot this video before or after starring in "Gangs of New York"?

  • @GrabTheApple Now thats funny right there - I don't care who you are

  • Hi~i'm new to this but have a busy schedule. what are the cons if i make a few servings in the morning and drink the last serving for dinner. this juice is no longer fresh. are the any cons to this? thanks

  • @utube16027 Welcome to the succulent world of juicing! Quick answer: once opened, all fruits/veggies & any food w/o preservatives start heading towards decay, so its best to drink soon after juicing. Some schools of thought are fanatic about this, but really, just drink it when you can. Drinking 2 juices a day is always better than 1! We've done this plenty of times on days we are travelling & can still feel tons of vital nutrients as we drink.

Try it and please let us know YOUR experience!

  • Hey, I love you guys.

  • @CBasie2856 where do you suppose the nutrients from the green juice went? They didn't disapear just because you added water. Water doesn't take away nutrients from fruits and veggies.

  • How do I know that the juice has nutrients in it? Most of the stuff that comes out of the nut bag looks like green water or tastes diluted. I have a VitaMix, and I have to put water in the VitaMix for it to crush the fruits and vegetables. It turns out that all the supposedly called "juice" is just green water with a diluted taste.

  • @CBasie2856 Fruits & veggies have a super high water content. Some as high as 96%! When we cook them, they lose some of their water so they taste more concentrated. When we juice them, we get the benefit of ALL of their VERY nutrient-dense water so they taste more watery. I know what you mean about using a blender/nut milk bag. (When we use our Blendtec we have to add water.) The nutrients are still there, they're just floating alongside the added water. You're still gettin' the goods :)

  • What someone called "robotic" simply came across to me as being professional and prepared. Great video, thanks!

  • great video guys, i got my first juicer the other day and have been juicing everyday and loving it, done a few green juice but mainly doing fruit juice. my juicer doesnt do the tough greens too well, the kale spinach parsley and its a real shame, is there anything i can do? maybe blend them first or something because i have a hand blender.

  • @mavidbabae Very cool. Congrats! Leafy greens really seem to be the test of a good juicer. We're still traveling and right now we only have access to a centrifugal juicer. It pretty much just laughs at the greens :) What we like to do sometimes is use a good blender (we have a Blendtec but 3hp certainly isn't required) and then strain it through a cheesecloth "nut milk bag". Your hand blender idea sounds like it would do the trick, though. Let us know how it works!

  • @EffortlessVitality yeah i will use my hand blender and then put it through a cloth of some sort as u suggest or even just put it through the juicer after blending. where are you travelling?

  • @EffortlessVitality i just had another green juice this afternoon, i hand blended a large handful of parsley, spinach kale and lettuce, it worked very well indeed, it turned into a green wet mush which i then put through the juicer, a cloth would probably have been better which i will try, got to get one, anyway, thought i would let u know, i will be doing this from now on.

  • @mavidbabae Sweet! Thanks for letting us know. You heard it here, folks: a hand blender can help make green juice if your juicer is having trouble with leafy greens. Rejoice!

  • @EffortlessVitality also good to do avacados this way! lolhad a green juice for breakfast today, still going, willhave to do a vid some time !

  • Pretty girl, epic mustache, green juice, there's not a lot more you need in life to make you happy. Rock and roll.

  • Thanks for the posting... I've been juicing for about a week now and feel like a fool... I forgot about pineapple! MY FAVORITE FRUIT! I'll be giving this recipe a try in the morning. I recommend Kale, Celery, Carrot, Grape, Apple and Clementine as well that's my favorite so far :)

  • I juice every morning! :))) <3

  • Yummy,

  • shave the mustache!!!!!!

  • Thank you

  • lol...you are so right...don't pay attention to me..i'm a big dork....☺

  • @tiatdivad For reals! Normally the only prescription is "more cowbell", but in this case, more juice!

  • could you two be more robotic???....i wanted to enjoy this video...but i couldnt get past the r2d2 and stepford wife rolls you were playing..

  • @ELPHABA3672 Maybe you're secretly psychic cuz this was our very 1st video upload & we were indeed not at our confident best! Thank goodness our ability to enjoy things isn't controlled by outside circumstances. You are 100% free to enjoy or not enjoy this video, regardless of how you perceive us <3

  • after you lose the weight you want..can you still eat fastfood?

  • @xoxofashiionista You are free to do anything you want. Life is awesome like that :) You will likely notice that, after shedding your excess pounds of toxic-saturated fat, choosing "empty calories/junk food" won't be as appealing. Your taste buds and your entire body transform. Your body learns to what it feels like to thrive, loves it, and then nudges you forward on that path by providing cravings for real food. How cool is that?

  • I'm someone whos never had a juicer--- any suggestions on buying one?

  • Hi, is a green juice alkaline without the addition of extra water? Many thanks,

  • @sachmofranklin Excellent question. The pH of the juice *outside of your body* will depend on the fruit you choose (pineapple & citrus are very acidic). Use a cheap pH meter if you wanna test your daily juice.

But here's the important part: ALL green juice has a NET ALKALIZING effect on the body. Even if it's got a lot of acidic fruit and measures acidic w/ a pH meter, it will alkalize your body.

See my blog post "My Magical Cleansing Diet" which gives a list of net alkalizing food :)

  • @EffortlessVitality Thank you very much. I remember reading once that green juice (vegetables) needed extra water to transform it into an alkaline beverage, so I'm v.interested in your personal experience and perspective. Do you think adding water is possibly a hinderence to the benefit/assimilation of a vegetable green juice? Many thanks,

  • @sachmofranklin Interesting. I'm not familiar with the "veggie juice needs water to become alkaline" idea. Just about every single veggie is already alkaline. Fruit on the other hand tends toward acidity.

My intuitive feeling is that nature needs no help & juice without water added could be considered ideal. I always promote listening to your body. & every body is different. For ME water generally feels good in my juice. Sometimes not :) Experiment. I would love to hear what you discover!

  • @EffortlessVitality Thank you very much. Yes, when I listen to my body, and of course every body is unique, it tells me it is a slightly acidic effect without water. I experimented a couple of times since and it seems to be the case...for me. It was 'The PH miracle' that illustrated this to me a while back if you're interested. The Author, Robert Young, apparently gathered his info from the blood post consumption, the alkalinic ash, rather than the ph value of the beverage itself. Thank u

  • How long does the juice last once made, and can i be frozen for later use ?

  • @chesterfieldhooligan I'm going to refrain from giving a specific # here b/c I have found it's ALWAYS best to listen to your body. I have seen frozen wheatgrass shots at the store. That means some people feel that freezing is good. There are also juicing videos where people make juice a day in advance. (We've done that during traveling.) For them, it's good. My & Sean's bodies tell us "sooner is better" so we drink quickly afterward.

What does YOUR body tell you right now? Try that :)

  • Why do you peel your limes and cucumbers? To my understanding you are supposed to drink your juice within 20 minutes of juicing..or so I have heard others say.

  • @mykylc The "Why skin your non organic produce?" question has been answered in an earlier comment by SoldoutGodchaser. View all comments for a recap!

If you have all organic produce and enjoy the flavor of cucumber skins & lime peels, then enjoy juicing them :)

Yes, people do claim all sorts of numbers and details about juicing. If you resonate with the cited reasons for doing that & feel called to drink your juice within 20 min, again I say enjoy!

Remember, YOUR body is YOUR best guide! <3

  • i have been reading that some people get sore stomachs and nausea from drinking the green juice, do you have any opinions on that? should this be something I should worry about it? I want to start juicing, but i definitely don't want to feel like crap after drinking it.

  • @brknspacebar Here's the science behind that complaint: Green Juice is a powerful detoxifier & rapid excretion of toxins can cause headache & nausea. Even when we ate vegan junk food food daily, we never felt sick off GJ. (Wheatgrass is another story!) Only YOU will know how YOUR body will respond though, so drink some green juice and find out :) Like anything worth pursuing, the benefits of vibrant health feel totally worth any possible, temporary side effects. Start SLOW. You can do it!.

  • @EffortlessVitality Thanks for the reply :-) I actually went ahead and made some this morning, and i kid you not, it was like an adrenalin rush, I felt wide awake, extremely energized and felt "clear" if that means anything. it almost felt like i was high lol, weird I know, but at least i didnt make me feel sick.....just kinda weird..

  • cool stuff, i just made one for myself. what's up with the funny mustache?

  • I have started to change over to mostly green or raw foods. (still have some meat and cook products but not more than 1 time per week.) I would recommend adding pears and apples to green juice and as you get used to the juice you can keep it the same or reduce the fruits.

  • dude, that mustache is amazing. its all about the juice ;)

feel free to comment one of mine!

  • I'm wanting to convert to a raw food lifestyle, but I hate the taste of veggies. Can I juice all of my veggies to make it easier for me to get all the veggies I need everyday?

  • @0negative82 Totally. That sounds like a great way to introduce your palette to veg flavors in a more subtle way. Eventually your tastebuds will change (3 weeks max) and you will prolly crave veggies in other form. Good for you & enjoy the raw glow!

  • looks so simple, and very easy , is that really all you eat for a meal?

  • @dth3545 It is simple :) And yes, a big green juice is our complete breakfast. Imagine the ingredients whole to get an idea of how filling and complete it is. We each get a 1/2 head of lettuce, 1/4 pineapple, 2 cucumbers & 1/4 celery. It's actually a lot!

  • I dont have a juicer, can this be done in a blender?

  • @jls0217 Yes, indeed! Using a blender means your drink will keep the fiber pulp and be a smoothie. If you pour the smoothie through a sieve or "nut milk bag" then you can strain the fiber and make it a true juice. Both options are awesome for your body and taste the same.

  • Why did you take the skin off of the cucumber first?

  • @SoldoutGodchaser In southern Mexico, organic pepinos (cucumbers) were not available, so off came their skin!

  • @EffortlessVitality so if you don't buy organic cucumbers you recommend taking the skin off? My vegetables are not organic. I wash them very well which is the best I can do currently. I have been leaving the skin on.

  • @SoldoutGodchaser Thank you very much for your help. I am new to this. Is there a list you can refer me to of what I have to take skin off of and what not? I mean like apples, pears? And also is there certain vegetables/fruits that are more important to buy organic than others? I can buy some organic but certainly not all fruits and vegetables. I am only a graduate student.

  • @SoldoutGodchaser Think of it this way: when workers go into the fields to spray a crop, they wear a protective suit. When they are done, the suit comes off. Fruits & veg only have their skin as a "protective suit". It's not much, but it is the layer that comes in direct contact with the chemicals. Why consume the dirtiest part, ya know?

Regardless of the produce you have, just bless it and be grateful while sipping or eating. We feel that does wonders for our health.

  • I have been re-diagnosed with a so called incurable form of Non hodgkin's lymphoma given only months to live. (Because of placement of tumors)

Enjoyed your detailed video.....do you know of a site I could go to specifically for cancer patients and also what juicer under $500 will deliver the best nutrients?

I am extremely healthy and fit looking (as of now) and would like to beat these odds. They are not recommending any chemotherapy.....I have already had too much.

  • @MsEskimogirl Hey! First, congrats on beating lymphoma in the past. That + your positive attitude & determination to heal is the most powerful combo in the world. You're on the right track!

  • @MsEskimogirl There are a ton of pages regarding green juice & healing cancer so let Google be your guide. crazysexylife (dot com) may be a good place to start. The main blogger has books & a docu about her recovery & there is a lot of great info.

"Masticating juicers" are said to be superior but they are ALL good :)

  • @EffortlessVitality Thank you for your encouragement. I will check that website out, as well as other green juciing ones....

    Thank you!

  • Thanks for sharing

  • i feel really good just by watching this. haha!

  • This recipe looks yummy, thanks! I just got a Champion yesterday (so excited!) I grew up with one, but haven't actively juiced in years. I'm excited to integrate juicing back into my life. Thanks again! :)
