No it's not fake, it was part of a documentery, it was showing the Lava which was later looked at (it showed it in it's rock form, so that's proof enough..).

The sound most likely was made louder so they could put music in the background, or really was that loud, it's got to make some effect on the volcano it comes out of to get up doesn't it?
