try keeping your hand under the ball all the way through to the release. If you flip your hand over too early, it will cause the ball to use up energy too early on the lanes.
I got this ball and a evolve. I was thinking of selling one. Which one should I keep? I like the rg and diff on the evolve better. The SM has a higher mass bias though.
lol im glad you like your SM, a lot of people hated it. People didnt like how it didnt go 50 feet and go 90 degrees, i liked it though cuz it smoothed out the transition on sport shots, it didnt jump hard
I'm getting better on more difficult patterns, I am done bowling on house shots after this season, I will be bowling on sport conditions from now on to sharpen my game. I have been working on my game for the past year, been improving, I have all intentions of going on tour someday, gotta refine my game a lot more still.
I have a question: I've been watching your videos and think your release is wicked sick! That being said, I also love my Ebonite Playmaker and though I don't have a striking motion, I like it a lot. But when you slowed down the video in this one it was clear to see your backswing and release. I've read about the idea od the 5-6-7 oclock middle finger positions for rev rate strength. That shot looked like your middle finger wasn't at the 7 for killer revs yet you rev like crazy! how? please help?
I appreciate all the comments. I don't know much about the 5-6-7 middle finger position, the way to generate revs is in the wrist and unloading action at the bottom of the swing. Fingers are important, you just need to get the right combo and keep it under control, that's more important than how many revs you can get. Just practice with different releases till you achieve you desired rev rate, there's a lot that goes into it, hard to explain how I do it, just comes naturally. :( Sorry.
im just curious... what is your thoughts or take on the virtual gravity? because i am getting one next week because my twisted fury just isnt working with the heavier oil
I haven't thrown the Vitural Gravity, I actually have never thrown a Storm or Roto Grip ball, so I can't really say. I have heard a lot of good things about that ball though, along with a lot of Storm's equipment, can't go wrong with that ball I'm sure.
I just haven't ever had the need or urge to throw a Storm/Roto ball, and I get my stuff for free, so I don't want to spend the money on any more balls :) I would love to throw a Cell Pearl or something of Storms, some day :)
yea i finally got the virtual on tuesday and it is the highest hooking and hardest hooking ball i have ever thrown or seen thrown.... i shot 738 with it today
@ss2049 What did you think of the Striking Motion overall? 5 stars? How does it compare to some of the better high-performance balls out there (Virtuals, Cells, Mission, Mega Recovery, The Sauce etc.) Thanks.
I just bought the Virtual Gravity the other day and threw it last night. Granted it was the first night out with it, but it was strong. I drilled it that way too but it reacted nicely and had drive through the pins like nothing else I've thrown. I wish I could increase my rev rate more like ss2049 here lol! But the virtual gravity is a strong ball in my opinion, really let me open up the lanes and play deep, really likes to cut sharp last second though lol! sucks up oil too
I think it has it's own qualities that make it good. All three balls are different, the Complete is a good ball, not as strong as the Playmaker, the Playmaker is very skid/snap/angular in my hand, the Complete is more arcy in my hand. The Striking Motion is stronger than them both but controllable, I like how it rolls a lot.
I just got this ball this past week and I'm a lefty I love this ball though its very smooth and reacts really well!

i hate this ball so much got it 3 weeks ago and it leaves way to many ten pins for me
robpeak123 2 years ago
sand it down to 1000 abralon and see the difference :) if it leaves too many 10 pins that means that it hooks too late......

is this ball better than the dynamo? it looks a hell of a lot more aggressive...

Great bowling. You throw it great and get a pretty amazing number of revs on the ball.

Damn, the way your ball enters the pocket, slaps that 1 into becoming a messenger almost every shot.
Please to teach me. I average 208 and still havent gotten a 3 yet.. =( Sad I know
