  • Before i saw this vid. i never heard of Maurice André...

  • Wow...this is superhuman in skill.

  • This is definitely Maurice Andre.

  • this is the best trumpet of the world!!!

  • I would have a stroke trying to play that

  • i wish i could play like that

  • GENIALE

  • The best trumpet player - the best sportsman, the best pilot - when we find the best, it is often in very small details.

André has a wonderfull soft tone and artikulation - does that make him the best? No, but some like him better than Hardenberger or Helseth - but none plays as high as Jon faddis - but is he then better?

I like to enjoy every pro on this site - they have so much practice and talent - it is amazing!

But the best - would never say something like that - it is what WE like!!

    :)

  • It music is in My mobil telefon. It's the best,is it?

  • are any of the trumpets for sale?

  • Famed classical trumpeter Maurice André praised Wynton as “potentially the greatest trumpeter of all time.”

So who the hell is the best?

    I will give to Wynton.

  • maurice andre is simply the best trumpet player in the world and held that post for over thirty years, and it plays much the same sound and fantastic but alas not this crap and he never even man.

  • @TheAllan000 A very bold and UNTRUE statement. Maurice Andre is a master of the piccolo trumpet and definately one of the best classical trumpet players in the world. But to say he's the best trumpet player in the world over all would be like saying Micheal Jordon is the best athlete...even though all he played was basketball. Maurice Andre fans have a bad habit of doing this and its just ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the man...he blows me away.

  • 0:21 looks unnatural

  • its great

  • Amazing!

Its just wonderfull what a great sound!!

  • This is Andre. I have the album this recording is on.

  • It is Maurice André for sure. We got this exact version on CD.

    Grande Maestro!

  • Questo è MAURICE ANDRE'!!!!!!!! Il meglio, ma che siete sordi!!!

  • It is an earlier recording of his, (70s I think)...

  • I have this recording. It is Maurice.

  • @chaingr

...then please tell me who is playing this!

  • @shosteryus

i dont know, but the high notes are not nice

  • @shosteryus it is 100% Maurice André - absolutely no doubt about it!

  • @shosteryus it´s an old record. Maurice Andre, trumpet and orchestre de chambre J.-F- Paillard, direction Jean Francois Paillaird.

  • @shosteryus

    chaingr is the player ;)

  • @shosteryus Maurice Andre, the greatest..!

  • @chaingr Wow, what an idiot lol!!

  • @chaingr I see what you're suggesting, but it's also true that his sound and style changed a lot, especially in his really really late yeras. I actually have a record of him playing this in the 60's or 70's, it's much different sounding than this. But I don't know, whoever this is is nailing it!

btw 1:13 gives a pretty convincing case for it being Andre....the vibrato

  • @chaingr you're probably right, this doesn't sound like him, maybe it's an earlier version of his? I don't know...

  • @chaingr it is very evident that you don't know Maurice André, nobody plays like that.

As a matter of fact this is part of a J.S. Bach's sonata for flute and was recorded in the late 70s.

  • Ciao. Senza nulla togliere all'interprete qui postato, sia chiaro. Suonassi io come lui!!!

  • this song blows my mind!!!!

  • Andre the King!

  • @huffpuffmusic

    you are incredible

  • @huffpuffmusic

sorry paul, but yours is even phantastic!
