well the first ratchet and clank game was on the playstation 2. There are 5 ratchet and clank games on the ps2. If you really want to start the whole series just get ratchet and clank on the ps2. Then move on to going commando, up your arsenal, and ratchet: deadlocked. Those are the names of the games. The ratchet and clank games on the ps3 are ratchet and clank future: tools of destruction, future: a quest for booty (download fomr PSN) and future: a crack in time.

Having collected all of the R&C games over the years and completing them, I can say this as good as it gets in my opinion.

The series seems to go downhill after this game is completed, QFB and A Crack in Time just seem gimmicky and complex, they just don't seem right... this is an excelent game though.

not sure but it probably is. I see the lock strafe as a fail by insomniac because going from up your arsenal to deadlocked, where deadlocked required you to use lock strafe, didn't keep with the ratchet and clank style and it pissed off a lot of fans lol

yes it is. :D if your like me and try to extend the length of your games and unlock literally every little thing that can be unlocked then this game will last you several months. But the actually story will probobly take a few weeks. I took my time and explored around the levels alot and it took me just over a month to complete the story. Im still not done unlocking everything though and i got this early 2008
