It's Possibility although they wont be quite as strong as if it were 95 degrees because the Heat is basically fuel for the thunderstorms..In MOST cases...the hotter it is..the stronger the thunderstorm.They feed On heat.I dont remember how hot it was that day but judging by the frequent cloud to ground lightning..i can assure you that it was above 90 degrees.New York got rocked with heavy thunderstorms about an hour ago,flooding and hail in Brooklyn and Manhattan.It didn't even hit 80 degrees
