I've been told that a Saudic prince is building a skyscraper 1,600 metres tall! And Turning Torso in Malmö is nothing compared to that! And even Burj Dubai in Dubai is 800 metres tall! Now THAT's tall.

You know very well why. Malmoe used to be a beautiful and bustling city until crime, rape, theft went through the roof!!

And you know why...

This building looks nice but would create vorticies . Not strong ones but still - it could not be made on a larger scale because of that.

Basically built by an architect, not an engineer.

turning torso is really good, but i suggest u to see his Tenerife opera Hhouse. it's gorgeous, fantastic, fabulous and my favorite building as a student of architecture. actually we can not just say it a 'building'. it's more than a building. take a look at it.

Malmö is also getting Malmö Tower (working name), 180-216 meters high. And several highrise hotels near Turning Toros.

And Stockholm will probably be getting several skyskrapers such as Tell Us Tower at 200 meters. :D Even Göteborg is building its tallest buildings yet.
