The implosion illusion was not one of his best imo. He was not in the building when it imploded. I would have liked it better if he had made it to the roof and was lifted off by helicopter but that would have been dangerous for real. Anyway his show at the Luxor in Vegas is going to be awesome.
When he opened the door it went to another camera. If he got out and got on the ladder ..I would of loved the stunt..But Like Evel,Houdini.Danny Way..these guys do real stunts and don't use cameras..

when the "live" broadcast went to the multiple screens u knew it was fake... that was the point where nobody can see him. The screens show him going up, that is probably a previous recording of him. While the recording is showing he runs down and goes and get in a safe spot. once the building is down he goes rolls in some dirt and lays down. he then pretends to have taken a beating and be weak once camera crew and friends come. he is truly a great actor, but not a very good magician in my eyes.
you knew it was fake at the beggining. it's impossible to break through hurricane proof windows with just your foot. Those things are supposed to hold up during 100 mph winds, it would take a couple sledgehammer hits to take that out.

As seen on 'Criss Angel Building Implosion Spoiler Released!' Chris Angel came from from the building next door and and if you look there are platforms to walk on the tv viewers did not see.
The scenes after the second door are pre-recorded while he escape down the platforms and ladders.
The helicopter was used to verify his escape and as a prop. "The laws of physics will never lie or mislead you to the true."
The very top section of the building didn't blow up if you watch the video. It was falling down in one piece. Could it have been a safety box with air bags?

We were there to with a small film crew to shoot the hotel falling down for future footage. I have never seen more rude and uneducated people assembled in one location. Of course this thing was totally fake. Does anyone think for a minute that he was in any kind of danger? Get real. He ran out the back door and used previousy shot footage to make it look like he ran through the hotel. MOVIE magic, he's a performer and nothing more! It was a waste of time, other than seeing the building come down
I'm with you all the way on that. Liability issues on a normal job site, much less a high-rise demolition, would not allow Angel to be in any real danger. The Building Department in Clearwater would not allow it either. I deal with that very department on a regular basis and they are very liability-conscious. Just a stunt to boost Angel's ratings and to boost Clearwater's tourism.

I was on the beach in Clearwater & watched the implosion live & in person. I predicted his "escape" to happen just the way it happened....not making it out in time...yadda, yadda, yadda. Considering Criss Angel is an ILLUSIONIST...and it was obvious that this was going to be an ILLUSION...it was an awesome SHOW. Hence the words ILLUSION & SHOW! I just love Criss. He performs the most incredible trickery stunts!
then, while the audience is on the edge o their seats, criss's associates are putting dirt on him, to show that he really survived the implosion....EASY!!! huh?
and notice how the always emphacize how hes COMPLETELY ALONE, and that the cameras are UNMANNED, and that hes the ONLY ONE in the building....they want you to think that he really is alone.... and they also broke the stairs to show that theres no way out thru the bottom of the building....cant u jump....well, thats what he does... he jumps, escapes from the back of the building, while the pre recorded tape is playing to show that hes still trapped inside....
ok, im not gonna expose the entire escape, but i think thats the EASIEST thing ever.....when theres the shot with 9 cameras, the one with the last door to the roof is pre recorded....so hes clean there.... but before when they were locking up the doors, door number 2. when they put the lock and stepped away from the door, you can se the door shake a bit...thats because somebody is behind it opening the lock with his key....then during the escape, criss pretends to be picking the lock...
my dads company was the company that blue up the building and we now how he did the trick... but u do know if it gets out that you no and tell people you will be sued for 6 million dollers

In Florida ESP on the coast all buildings must be up to code for a Cat 3. Hurricane, yet he kicked out a window that should be according to law able to withstand 90 mile an hour debris directly hitting, as well as the helicopter never intended on picking him up, if the bird was there when the building went down it would create an upward gust, & thrown the helicopter into a spin
When he kicked through the initial window the footage shown (i.e. multi-angle) was pre recorded. During the 2 or so minutes he had pleanty of time to go downstairs and lay down at a safe distance from debris while the footage played itself out. That's why the cameras all the unmanned cameras go to static at the same time; otherwise you'd see the building not falling around him. If you ever watch footage from inside an implosion cameras work right up until the final moments.
I've seen like every episode of this show, and quite honestly I think this was the LAMEST and FAKEST escape he's ever done...like honestly I was like wtf, he could've done this so much better...and the stupid British reporter dude looked like he was talking in front of a green screen and the green screen was displaying the background!!!! OMG IT PISSED ME OFF! Seriously, Criss could've and usually does do better than this. =(
If you notice that the top square of the building doesn't appear to be as damaged as the rest of the building when you see the rubbel that is most likely where they had him stay which they probobly re inforced it so it would widthstand the fall. Physicially its impossible to come out of that without a scratch on you! He fell from like a 12 story building....well with the building but still he didn't even have a knee scrape! from the concrete on the stairs

I knew as soon as the camera cut from him running down the hall fron the first room to the multi-cam that they switched to a prerecorded run. (Watch him adjust his foot positioning right before the cut from live to multi, very akward) That's when live footage stopped and he headed down and out. We were all supposed to think "oh SH*t" He could have done the 'survual' part a bit better though.

This was without a doubt the most stupid stunt and worst acting that I have ever seen. I will give him credit that he has done some really neat illusions in the past the this was just stupid. It's really criminal that in the interview afterwards, One of his producers SWEARS that the cameras were live. Was the first time that I noticed his TERRIBLE LISP (God does have a sense of humor) Needs to watch Cable guy to get that book about the lisp problem. I feel sorry for him, pathetic really.

As seen on 'Criss Angel Building Implosion Spoiler Released!' Chris Angel came from from the building next door and and if you look there are platforms to walk on the tv viewers did not see.
The scenes after the second door are pre-recorded while he escape down the platforms and ladders.
The helicopter was used to verify his escape and as a prop. "The laws of physics will never lie or mislead you to the true."

The very top section of the building didn't blow up if you watch the video. It was falling down in one piece. Could it have been a safety box with air bags?
Did anyone see if he escaped on the helicopter when it flew away? Obviously, we know he wasn't inside the main building when it was blown up and fell down!
He sure got nervous when he couldn't pick the first lock and kicked out the window! Obviously, he was still in mortal danger at that point and it was real.

It wasnt real. The *live* tapes were pre-recorded, and all he did was went downstairs to a safe roo, waited for the building to fall, rolled around in some dust, and walked out to the crowd looing all dazed and stuff. Nothing Special. But the implosion was awesome.

i watched it on T.V. and when he had so smash the window open with the first door i knew he wasn't going to make it out and when he was all alone up top with shackles and hand cuffs on and he looked like he was going to cry and iu knew he doubting himself and it started to rain and they said in the begining that if lightning came it could set off and explosive and the building could Impload and he said "it's starting to rain" and i was like "OH CRAP!" and i was scared threw the whole thing. <3

We were there to with a small film crew to shoot the hotel falling down for future footage. I have never seen more rude and uneducated people assembled in one location. Of course this thing was totally fake. Does anyone think for a minute that he was in any kind of danger? Get real. He ran out the back door and used previousy shot footage to make it look like he ran through the hotel. MOVIE magic, he's a performer and nothing more! It was a waste of time, other than seeing the building come down

I'm with you all the way on that. Liability issues on a normal job site, much less a high-rise demolition, would not allow Angel to be in any real danger. The Building Department in Clearwater would not allow it either. I deal with that very department on a regular basis and they are very liability-conscious. Just a stunt to boost Angel's ratings and to boost Clearwater's tourism.

I was on the beach in Clearwater & watched the implosion live & in person. I predicted his "escape" to happen just the way it happened....not making it out in time...yadda, yadda, yadda. Considering Criss Angel is an ILLUSIONIST...and it was obvious that this was going to be an ILLUSION...it was an awesome SHOW. Hence the words ILLUSION & SHOW! I just love Criss. and notice how the always emphacize how hes COMPLETELY ALONE, and that the cameras are UNMANNED, and that hes the ONLY ONE in the building....they want you to think that he really is alone.... and they also broke the stairs to show that theres no way out thru the bottom of the building....cant u jump....well, thats what he does... he jumps, escapes from the back of the building, while the pre recorded tape is playing to show that hes still trapped inside....

ok, im not gonna expose the entire escape, but i think thats the EASIEST thing ever.....when theres the shot with 9 cameras, the one with the last door to the roof is pre recorded....so hes clean there.... but before when they were locking up the doors, door number 2. when they put the lock and stepped away from the door, you can se the door shake a bit...thats because somebody is behind it opening the lock with his key....then during the escape, criss pretends to be picking the lock...

I was there when it actually happened. When everybody heard the boom.. criss angel wasn't on the helicopter ladder!! People were so horrified!! But then on the big screen TV we saw him walking down the street covered in rubble. It was Awesome! I am just glad he is safe.

In Florida ESP on the coast all buildings must be up to code for a Cat 3. Hurricane, yet he kicked out a window that should be according to law able to withstand 90 mile an hour debris directly hitting, as well as the helicopter never intended on picking him up, if the bird was there when the building went down it would create an upward gust, & thrown the helicopter into a spin

When he kicked through the initial window the footage shown (i.e. multi-angle) was pre recorded. During the 2 or so minutes he had pleanty of time to go downstairs and lay down at a safe distance from debris while the footage played itself out. That's why the cameras all the unmanned cameras go to static at the same time; otherwise you'd see the building not falling around him. If you ever watch footage from inside an implosion cameras work right up until the final moments.

If you notice that the top square of the building doesn't appear to be as damaged as the rest of the building when you see the rubbel that is most likely where they had him stay which they probobly re inforced it so it would widthstand the fall. Physicially its impossible to come out of that without a scratch on you! He fell from like a 12 story building....well with the building but still he didn't even have a knee scrape! from the concrete on the stairs

Are you guys dense? The whole point of this was to build the suspense. He was supposed to F it up. I knew as soon as the camera cut from him running down the hall fron the first room to the multi-cam that they switched to a prerecorded run. (Watch him adjust his foot positioning right before the cut from live to multi, very akward) That's when live footage stopped and he headed down and out. We were all supposed to think "oh SH*t" He could have done the 'survual' part a bit better though.
