  • mantronix r the best

  • this is hip hop in its purest form. not all those bullshit r and b beat samples.

  • yo, do you own a hoodie and talk while the music is and think you is rapping? Well listen up mother fuckers , listen close, take it in, as this is how you do it!!! Man this guy is dope...Mantronix is the shit man! Quality never dies, not out to make a few buck, out to leave a legacy... the real hip hop fans know what I'm talking about...true dat!

  • these rappers actually had talent! not like today. Jay Z and lil wayne what a joke!!! listen to their lyrics, they do not make sense.

  • I was a hiphop producer in the 90" and one thing we had in common with the house/dance producers of the time: they and we all started with mantronix. Our common groud.

  • A real rapper! I like it!!!

  • This is amazing! I only started this time to collect this type of music of the 80's!

  • THE KOBE AND SHAQ OF OLE SKOOL HIP HOP .....

  • I love techno but this is the sickest song ever made with a 909 and a 303

  • Thank God I grew up listening to stuff like this in the 80s. Feel sorry for anyone who has to listen to the crap that passes for music these days.

  • @SteyrAUG223

You know, there were lots of people in the 80s that said this music wasn't real music and was "crap". They predicted it was just a fad and would never last.

My point? Don't be so quick to criticize. Music is 2037 will be "crap", and the music of 2011 willl be "classic" and "real" music. Rinse. Repeat.

  • @lionzion22 yepp your right bout that

  • @lionzion22

Sure there is something to that. But honestly there was quite a bit of nonsense in the 80s and it hasn't become classics. It's just old stupid shit. And I suspect that will be the same thing that happens to most of the current bitches, my money and gangstas nonsense.

  • @SteyrAUG223 What this generation need is a whole lot more of you shutting the fuck up.

  • @philanderadriaan

Sadly this is what I suppose I should expect from your generation. Way to represent.

  • no skool like the old skool...

  • TUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNAGE!!!

  • I hope they will make a time machine in future because i will whant to go back in 1980 :X and stay there forever because this new times are shitless...best of hip hop era ;) fu*k lil wayne...gucci mane....drake....this is real hip hop....Peace

  • First time I heard this is today. And now the doors have opened up to a whole new cache of Hip Hop. This is freaking AMAZING.

  • @johnnymassacre same here.. really dope stuff right here..

  • @skemsaren DJ Premier sent me here...

  • This is the pulse of original HipHop!

  • This is why Old School Hip-Hop music is still amazing in its influence and popularity. Far more than just a musical style, rap and the sub-genres of rap have created distinct cultures with specific expectations, status symbols, and norms. Calling it mainstream - Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer and Young MC were mainstream.

  • Remember when rapping was about rapping? God I miss Mantronix, Scott LaRock, King Tut.... I miss people who could actually rap and move the crowd. This new shit has got to go.

  • TAKING COMMAND!

  • wow!!

  • if i could meet one famous person before i die it would be mantronix

  • VICE CITY!! :D

  • Hip hop!!!!

  • Hip hop was still okay around 2004. Hip hop and rap changed dramatically to when everyone flow is even the same. Its just punchline after punchline. No flow whatsoever.

  • @ShadeSigma where its really fallen off in this decade is the LYRICS...... i mean.... does anyone really give a fuck how much money u made or how man girls u have sex with?... really?... REALLY?>.... its so stupidly simplistic now..... but that speaks more to the materialistic, shallow, self indulged society these guys exist in today.......

  • @seehound619 Everyone is probably scared to be original or something. Every line is the same its about sex and money. Nobody can't rap about one thing different.

  • Bons tempos, quando eu era jovem e morava em Americana....

  • funny you guys always state HIP HOP IS NOT THE SAME! well music over all is wack! nobody really can sing! most rock bands now sound like whiney girls with no harmony! r&b has been oversaturated with the use or horrible rappers/singers duets!there are zero funk or soul(black) bands to speak of! how many times in commercials and tv shows do they use music from the 70's or 80's!? why nothin now? hmmm? the shit today is garbage!! i blame RAP MUSIC! it destroyed everything into mindless noise!

  • @ozulu45 I agree, I feel that people became entranced by the 'gangster' image, and now virtually everything is about having the most controversial image possible. The music itself is a distant 2nd.

  • i like it.. alot.. did then.. do now

  • ... and all these new jack wankstas actually have the nerve to call themselves "rappers" ... Real Ninjas recognize the Real Trailblazers and True Pioneers of Hip Hop / Rap... Mantronix is ETERNAL ...

  • VICE CITY!!!! BABY!!! LOVE THIS FRICKIN BEAT!!!!

  • You would NEVER hear this on the radio today....im a 15 year old kid who is obsessed with old school and never listens to new school! Old school all the way!!!

  • now dis is what i call real gangster dis are da real gangsters from the 80s da ones that dance brankdance and all that stuff and didty even dress wierd

  • and i hear on the radio they say nothing good came out of the 80's except back to the future... what crap is that.

  • This was the baddest dude to ever touch a drum machine if you axe me.

He was doing amazing shit with the drum machine and mixes .

  • I'm a 90's man who love this 80's BOMB

  • These guys were way, way ahead of their time. They were 20 yrs ahead of the whole electronica movement. Pure Genius

  • 19 people are from the 90's

  • Sad thing these days are gone... This was Hip Hop at its BEST!

  • RAW

    5

  • they oughtta have a reunion and make music their old way. i'd like to hear a proper throwback to the old school.

  • kool

  • These cats never got the credit they deserved in Hip Hop History.

  • LYRICS ... WTF... Help with the lyrics,, ?? please

  • 19 Hispsters' skinny jeans loosened up after hearing this!!!

    MANTRONIX 4EVER!

  • yea big respect to the old skool that beat goes on

  • he made all of his beats, no sampling, people sampled from him !

  • nikkas was no where near born wen this came i an i still kno bout this

  • mantronix = legend. every track he makes is the business. and he does vary his music - not just keeping to one formula.

  • CLASSIC B BOY! RIP Shabaka Malik - STONEY BOYZ Fo Life!

  • Dancers at 2"15 are splendid!

  • @VINetKLAUS have to agree the dancers moves at 2.15 are excellent. lots of style.

  • SO SAD............................

  • THESE NEW JACKS DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT B BOY STANDS FOR...........

  • the epitome of oldschool. AAARGH i love this shit

  • Kurtis i want my money lol. Didn't i lend him money to buy cookies at lunch and I never seen Kurt, cookies, or lunch after that but he was bad at making them beats. Oh my bad I saw him at Sleeping Bag. He should hear me now!!!

    REMIXMIAMILIVE!

  • LOL! I haven't heard Mantronix in nearly 20 years. I was just thinking of them out of the blue.

  • WOW!! Thanks for the memories....SHOT OUT TO DANCE CONTROL (BRONX,NY) 1985....Stake Key, Poe Park, The Mirage, The Castle..

havent seen it on you tube for a year or so.

  • old skewwwwwwwwwl

  • we're back we're fresh and we're here to stay! so hot you could melt and fade away... LOL cool cool... awesome track!

  • Turned on the tv this morning switched to GMTV & saw a new girl band called wonderland..they talked about how they are influenced by lady gaga etc...

Seriously guys, what the fuck happened to music!!??

  • @CTyreR you answered yourself. what happened? Lady gaga.... and all that american idol crap. yup...

  • @CTyreR Only heaven know!

  • @CTyreR What happened to music? Music is constantly evolving. It's natural and happened throughout music history. The real question is what happened to you? The answer is simple. You are getting old.

  • @philanderadriaan For sure, Im a Relic.

  • Peep the TR -909 in the intro...

  • TR-909 Rhythm Composer and TB-303 Bassline, the two best machines ever.

  • @besie0 yes! if anything should make a comeback..it would be 303's in hip hop. You hear loads of sampled 808s and sometimes 909 but rarely a 303 in hip hop these days

  • @ElasticMinds Too bad they dont make them anymore and will set you back ATLEAST 1000 dollar for a tb-303 and atleast 1500 dollar voor a tr-909 :(. I wanted them but i really couldn't afford them.

  • OH GOD IT HURTS!

  • i see we got at least 16 stupid people living on this planet

  • fuck yeah Mantronix fo life!!

  • Approved by the artist who has real singing talent and doesn't dress up like a slut like Britney Spears and appreciates real hip hop.

16 people have no clue what real music is.

  • @tbo452 read first comment of YeJiub (on second page) and you don't believe your eyes (of course, that's NOT also my opinion :))

sorry for my bad english. i'm czech :)

  • 16 peoples don't know what is hip-hop :)

  • old school

  • the is sick

  • mUSIC HAS CHANGE to a BiG Shit. old Skool BEST 80&90s TOP Dance MUSIC. Now Laddy Gaga

  • Anybody who diss mantronix dont know hip hop...

  • Mantronix was up on Midi way back...

  • yea, its so sad.. its not generational or evolutional changes its blatant gay and racist influences on the basically natural stream of raw hip hop..people aint gotta be hard rymers or heatmakers they even killed the scratch...

  • wow this is garbage

  • @YeJiub WHAAAAAAAAT!!! That's crazy talk sir!!!!

  • @YeJiub its 1985 what do you expect? i bet if you personally made a beat in 2011 it would sound worse than something made in 1979 lol

  • @doox420 the beat is decent but the vocals are horrible.

  • @YeJiub are ya bullshit or what???

  • @YeJiub STFU

  • I was da baddest breakdancer in new jersey. When this record came out i brought the tape for the boombox and the album for the turntable

  • 'HIP HOP LIVES WITHIN US,!!! AND HIP HOP WILL NEVER DIE!!!'

  • BRING HIPHOP BACK!

  • i love this song!!! Gta vice city - great memories (cheetah or pcg 600, uzi and shooting)

  • This was the SHIT back in the day! When that bass came in at the very beginning, EVERYBODY would get the fuck up and get on the dance floor and start going off!!! This is one of my FAVORITE hip hop songs! That bass STILL sends chills up my spine when I here it. Classic! Thanks for posting!

  • Pure butta!!!

  • @IceManLikeGervin Butter*

  • @3Target33

Shows how down you are w/ hiphop.smh

     It's butta-all day, everyday.

  • Fuck mainstream Hip Hop, underground non-wannabe gangster shit is what we aim for.

  • @666deathghost alot underground hip hop is garbage also bro! and cats need to go back to learn how to play THE INSTRUMENTs they sample now! come on! computer software has made everybody lazy and wack! and stop with only using 70's records to sample!!! MANTRONIX first album didnt even use full loops and noticeable sample(few that were in there)

  • i can't believe 14 idiots actually hated this video. i guess they couldn't hear the bassline

  • Yes, I like those TR909 beats too. This machine (Roland) is almost 30 years old and still dominating the music industry. The dance-scene, which is an industry by itself, is based on TR909, TR808 and TB303 sounds. But anyway, this is such a great song. When this song was spinning in the club, the roof was on fire!

  • back when DJ's really spun VINYL! Love those 909 beats!

  • 2:16 is so beast with those dancers.

  • Classic hip hop beat

  • "make sweet love and bite off your titty!"

    .

    HARD CORE! XD

  • hooooooo!!! lol this was the shit and still is

  • back in the day playing gta

  • dope

  • HARD!

  • HARD!

  • next level shit

  • 14 PIECES OF SHIT voted down

  • I used to spin vinyl back in this day. Mantronix was the ultimate electro-hip-hop ensemble. There was not much quite like it; there has not been much like it since, really. Innovative, bewitching, and just plain "bad," as they used to say.

  • @sastal You are right. Very unique. and was never duplicated. Technotronic had some what of a similar style though but this was more rough cut.

  • Comment removed

  • i like it, but what is he sayin?

  • 2:16 to 2:42 best moments ever

  • dope.. too bad there nothing like this now-a-days.

  • The king of beats still rules over all those commercial punk-ass wanna be hiphop gangstars. Respect to the old school style.

    my mate tony chetty.....

  • its odd in the 90's this sounded dated. but now it sounds way way better than most of the stuff released in the 90's.

something about it has aged really well. its hard to beleive its 24 years old it still sounds minblowing. just that deep bass. blows me away.

  • @hundhun17 --it's simple, it was tru, real hip hop.....

I can't even fathom what the evil of money has done to the hip hop culture.

we look back at this and we can remember why we luv hip hop so much.....

I swear I dam near shed tears when I think about it in this way.

  • @rokkettscience

Thank god for alot of bboys for keepin it reel.

Any bboy convention is like reliving the 80's.

Old sql rap, electro, breakbeats, soul, funk

  • Oldschool Skillzz PWNGE xD

  • funky nige ,ist time , album fxxxxxg shit hot

  • As OLD SCHOOL as it gets. MEMORIES!!!

  • I use to breakdance to this song every day. Thats how i stayed in shape

  • In the 1980s, a lot of wack ninjas were listening to Coco Loc, Doo Doo D and Wannabe Koo, whereas, I had every Mantronix album ever made and was hella def.

  • Man, I use to love this soooo much!! God I'm old! He's killing it right now even for this being old school rap!

  • Man, I use to love this soooo much!! God I'm old!

  • sounds a bit dated nowadays but still a exellent record.

  • me too!!!

  • damn i remember the crazy block parties back in the day true hip hop!!!!!!!

  • gr8

  • i dig this track! Word !

  • Seattle? Sea Town BALLLAAAAAS!

  • **Proceeded with aggression yes to make it a collection so the name mantronix be ya number one selection cause we are the crew, i know you like, and yes he controls the beat and i hold the mic!**

  • I never thought MC Tee was anything special - sort of an average rapper with no special skills. Decent enough to carry a song, I suppose. But it was truly Kurtis Mantronic who made this group - he was creative and a truetrail blazer in this genre - no one compared to technical skills or overall innovation.

  • dis shit slaps nigga

  • damn

  • Real electro hip hop like it doesn't exist anymore, how awfull has become the hip hop nowadays with this crap R&B and all ...

Here it was something pure, another dimension !!!.

  • @quartzlocker A MEN to that brow,,

old skool beats anything today even reggae, pop , anything in the 80's was better today.

there is no such thing as SOUL today

  • Real electro hip hop like it doesn't exist anymore, how awfull has become the hip hop nowadays with this crap R&B and all ...

Here it was something pure, another dimension !!!.

  • if you were into hip hop back in the day , you knew mantronix was fresh
