I always was curious to see what the result would be if a guy like karelin totaly dedicated himself and learned some form of submission grappling like bjj, sambo, or catch as catch can wrestling and then entered the abu dhabi or even MMA, It seems more likely nowadays though that we may get to see something like this with more money being made in MMA and more top world class wrestlers making the cross over to mma and grappling. This is NOT a real fight, it is a work. They are using Pancreas rules but this is not a competitive fight. Karelin has Maeda in a head and arm lock twice in the first four minutes. He would have chocked him out in 45 seconds. In the least he would have never let him off the mat. The leg lock he submits to for the first fall is total fiction.
