I think it comes down to Madeon (as any DJ should) focuses completely on music and melody, while artists who make songs and singles for the radio tend to focus more on lyrics and verbal harmony. Madeon's song wouldn't be nearly as good without alphabeats vocals, but because he took already good vocals and added his own music *his* is therefore better. But say he made an instrumental and alphabeat added lyrics, people would say alphabeat's is better. It just depends on who is last in the "chain"
