Golly it's been a long time....Lessee, Plainville : Milepost 66-H (?) ; used to be a wood yard there back in the 1970's. As a head-end brakeman set out / picked up cars there. Rattlesnakes hung around the switch stands a lot back then. Capacity of spot track was 11 wood-racks......I think. Thanks for the video and the stab from the past, S-7002x !
Right you are! The wood yard is now gone and has been for many years. You're welcome on the video! Lindale (milepost 84-H) looks different now. It's now double track all the way from Smith, milepost 81-H, to Chambers (now referred to as Finley), milepost 87-H. The old signal bridge at Lindale right in front of the mill at milepost 84 is gone. The mill itself closed in 1995 and most of it has been torn down.
Some of those would be the train of the year nowdays. Much of its just plain impossible, Many many trips and you would be lucky to get a few consists half as good. Real nice catch on that former Detroit Edison SD40 and the GP40X class leader. Great video Brian
Thanks again Nikos! We really didn't realize how "good" things were back then. All the variety and the element of surprise was what made it fun and entertaining. Look for more of this same type of material soon.

Wow! That's cool to see 6565 in it's brand new paint! Awesome shots! I think most of those old GE units are retired or scrapped now...5*****!

Thanks very much! You're correct---the B23-7s, C36-7s, and C39-8s have been retired. The GP40X has long been retired as well.
