if you say football has no strategy than you have no idea what you are talking about. It is nothing but strategy.
Football, basketball, soccer and hockey; they all take a kind of dedication, skill, teamwork and athleticism that sure as hell deserves to be seen by the world. This video is just some creepy looking guy who played a video game a little better than some other creepy looking guys.

I believe that Best will have better to offer next time, his lack of aggression did cost him the 3rd game, but thats just the nerves working on him after getting pummelled in quick succession. He will be a better player for the humbling, and I believe next time will bring his A game. Kudos to July, hard fought, looking forward to seeing what these guys are capable of on starcraft 2!
Awesome game between these two. Great commentary, too! Also, did anyone notice the song that starts around 7:20? (You can hear it around 7:40-7:44 clearly). It's a Soul Calibur 2 Song, Eternal Struggle (Pirate's Alcove) for all of you Soul Calibur fans out there.
Anyway, great playing by both players! Definitely GG.
I am glad someone decided to put up the Set 4+5 to this video. I always regret accidentally seeing the count of sets in these games because then I knew who would eventually win the series by the set count and knowledge of who had won the previous game(s). I thought Best would win 3 and 4, and I'd see an epic game 5. A very slight disappointment in that regard, but I was still pleasantly surprised by this victory for Julyzerg.

Unbelevable, July just destroyed. Abosulatley amazing starcraft from July. True props to him. Those games were insanely good. I personally think best was unlucky in the first 2 games due to scouting. But the 3rd he was merely outplayed.

i was actually listening to the whole commentary live without video, and it seemed like i was watching the game just by listening to the commentary. I enjoyed the cast very much and I hope you guys do another live commentary sometime!
Brilliance! Though I must say, BeSt seemed nervous as all hell, especially from the crazy builds in the first two games that just shook his confidence.
Starcraft is so much about confidence I can't emphasize that enough. BeSt's concentration was shattered by the crazy rush strategies and adaptation of July in the first two games, and his confidence was torn to shreds by the final third game.
I didn't wake up to my alarm on Saturday Lol. I wish I had so I could have watched, but I still got to watch it that morning on Jon747.
In Set 2 when they showed Bisu with his mouth open, I said to myself that it was the funniest thing that I had ever seen. When I watched it again today, I said the same thing. It's just absolutely hilarious to see a player of that caliber be so amazed at something.

For those active sc2gg members that are present at the MSL live cast, maybe you could get them in between sets as "guest analysts". Once the game is over, you could invite one of them in to get there thoughts of the last game and the current match overall. Once the next game starts, it can go back to the original three commentators. Once that game is done you can get in a different person to get their thoughts. It would keep the overall cast fresh and exciting, (not that it already isnt).
I'm sorry it didn't work for you. :( We had a full vent server and also another audio relay for those who couldn't get in. You just needed to put [OSL Cast] in your comments on vent like everyone else and Kurogane would have moved you to the right channel. I suggest next time you idle in the SC2GG irc channel, because if there are any problems you are likely to get help sorting em out.
gg guys. I hope I can make the next live commentary. I logged onto vent early on friday night to listen in before I went to bed but there was a password required to get into the OSL channel. How do I find out what it is? You never told us we needed a password on the youtube video explaining how to get to the vent server
This series came pretty damn close to making me a zerg fan, and definitely made me a July fan. Really smart, interesting, creative play in every single game, consistently outthinking Best and usually outmacroing and outmicroing him too. More than deserving of the golden mouse.

The golden mouse is an award you get when you win the OSL 3 times. Only July and Nada has won it 3 times.
There is also some weird diamond mouse, if you win the OSL 8 times or something (not quite sure, 5-8 times).

Mrs. Klaz sounds hot. No one can deny moletrap's dedication, lol. Hopefully Cholera will do a few more commentaries before being cast into hellfire. Great set, July really deserved it. Can't wait for the MSL finals. Thanks guys!

o man he was just utterly dominated by july. no matter how much of a macro monster he just couldn't stand up to the God of War. Poor best just got manhandled and molested :P i hope he can manage to recover from this. Thanks for the commentaries guys, i was sad not to have been listening live.

i was actually listening to the whole commentary live without video, and it seemed like i was watching the game just by listening to the commentary. I enjoyed the cast very much and I hope you guys do another live commentary sometime!

Brilliance! Though I must say, BeSt seemed nervous as all hell, especially from the crazy builds in the first two games that just shook his confidence.
Starcraft is so much about confidence I can't emphasize that enough. BeSt's concentration was shattered by the crazy rush strategies and adaptation of July in the first two games, and his confidence was torn to shreds by the final third game.

I didn't wake up to my alarm on Saturday Lol. I wish I had so I could have watched, but I still got to watch it that morning on Jon747.
In Set 2 when they showed Bisu with his mouth open, I said to myself that it was the funniest thing that I had ever seen. When I watched it again today, I said the same thing. It's just absolutely hilarious to see a player of that caliber be so amazed at something.

For those active sc2gg members that are present at the MSL live cast, maybe you could get them in between sets as "guest analysts". Once the game is over, you could invite one of them in to get there thoughts of the last game and the current match overall. Once the next game starts, it can go back to the original three commentators. Once that game is done you can get in a different person to get their thoughts. It would keep the overall cast fresh and exciting, (not that it already isnt).

I'm sorry it didn't work for you. :( We had a full vent server and also another audio relay for those who couldn't get in. You just needed to put [OSL Cast] in your comments on vent like everyone else and Kurogane would have moved you to the right channel. I suggest next time you idle in the SC2GG irc channel, because if there are any problems you are likely to get help sorting em out.

gg guys. I hope I can make the next live commentary. I logged onto vent early on friday night to listen in before I went to bed but there was a password required to get into the OSL channel. How do I find out what it is? You never told us we needed a password on the youtube video explaining how to get to the vent server

This series came pretty damn close to making me a zerg fan, and definitely made me a July fan. Really smart, interesting, creative play in every single game, consistently outthinking Best and usually outmacroing and outmicroing him too. More than deserving of the golden mouse.
