I have kick-started old bikes before but that doesn't mean that I had to ignore the law of gravity to do it. I also choose to wear a helmet on a hot day, although that is a hard thing to do sometimes.

yea i hear ya on that....i always wear a helmet its just not smart not to...even if it is uncomfortable. i just find that as long as you have a solid kickstand and you hold the front brake so the bike doesn't roll that is the easiest way to do it....unless you have some insanely muscular legs or your a heavy guy.
