I think know gdata it's based on RAV(an old Romanian antivirus that all soo Microsoft buy it) . It was a great antivirus and had a nice skin. Maybe microsoft make it better or make it wors that's the true.

Mate, GData does not suck. It takes so long to scan because it combines 2 of the best Antivirus engines, and scans with both.

I bought G DATA InternetSecurity 2009 a month ago. It's really a good product. 2009 versions use Avast+BitDefender scan engines. Both Avast and BitDefender are fine products, and this makes G DATA a wonderful security software. :)

WOW, thanks, might as well call you Mr. Statetheobvious. As for creating them, not likely, why bother taking the time, it's easy enough to find vast libraries of real ones if you are a security researcher and it's more practical as you are testing against real threats the program will face.
