If a fossil is misread or wrongly catalogued the new diagnosis has always to be taken into account. Despite this the theory has always shown that it is sound! what Im trying to get at is that the world seems to follow a law, like why doesnt the world just fall apart, but because of specific laws the molecules stay together, so Im just saying that something must have programmed forces such as gravity to manipulate the molecules within a system, if a creator didn't, then your relaying on explaining it by the big bang, and I find it hard to believe that something as destructive as the big bang created such order.
To Muslims god hasn't been absent and if you had read the 99 names of Allah you would know that Muslims see everything that happens in life and every choice you make is because god allows it. This might be faith based but the idea of every action has a consequence is important in Islam and shows that god is always there, even if you dont understand why.
In other words, everything happens because a god with no proof allows it or it has happened because those of faith have made it happen through working together. We have since learned from evidence that single cell life existed for billions of years before conditions for multi cellular life were in place to aid its progressive forms. I believe that it all comes down to interpretation, as in, if you interpret your religion as an absolute explanation to everything, then yes, it WILL hinder scientific progress. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Until now I was under the impression that the Sunnah was heavily researched & reviewed by peer scholars that were contempories of Sahih. The Sunnah was considered the 2nd most important document (next to the Koran) for 1160 years since it was compiled. Are you disputing the confirmation of ALL the proximate & intermediate scholars? Bukhari was revered for spending a sincere lifetime following in his prophet's footsteps gathering fragmented accounts of Muhammed's life & recording for posterity.

A hadith reliability depends upon its chain of narration, who the narrators were, whether the narrators were reliable, how many narrators there were (for example a hadith narrated by a 1000s such as Ghadir Khum is more reliable than a hadith narrated by 2 or 3 people), and a plethora of other criteria. And like I said only muslims had such a scientific process for recording their religion.The reason the Quran is accurate is because every chain of verses in the Quran is mutawatir per this science

Finally there even are some hadith that "hint" at an evolutionary process in creation. For example in Al-Kafi there are hadiths about 69000 adams before the official Adam. Scholars such Murtada Mutahari take that as evidence of evolution in islam, with those adams being taken as the genetic predecessors of the official Adam. There are others such as in Nahjul-Balagah where we learn about ancient lizards who became birds (hinting at birds today coming from dinosaurs). etc etc etc

That hadith was labeled fake around 1500 years ago. Do you know what shuroo and rajal are? If not then please get an education on how the hadith system works before you post random hadith. There are over a million hadith, yet the number muslims use are only in the thousands. That's coz we admit many of the hadith are fake, hence unlike any other religion, we created a scientific system for seperating the fakes from the real ones.
I meant to say the suns position is stable RELATIVE to the planets. Of course it actually orbits the plantary center of gravity called the Barycenter, which lies near the center of the sun. This was mathematically proven by Newton in his treatise "Pricipia Mathematica". He too was religious, and he also wrote forgotten works on alchemy.
Ask christians, jews, hindus, buddhists or whatever if they have a complex system for separating the fabricated verses and traditions in their books from the fake ones. You won't get an answer. If a fossil is misread or wrongly catalogued the new diagnosis has always to be taken into account. Despite this the theory has always shown that it is sound! Wrong! There are numerous fossil transitions yet as the gaps between each transition, that are constantly being found get smaller, the creationist just claims another gap. When does an amphibian like fish become classified as a fish like amphibian, yet both are in the fossil record and can even be the same fossil. To say that they are not there shows clearly that you know nothing about fossils.

No, i am afraid you are wrong here, you see, there are species, then there are subspecies, what i have seen is scientists link the subspecies together, then try to link the species, with which is 'most likely' to be ancestor. If you believe otherwise, try to find one specie with a complete fossil record. And there is a big difference between adaptation and natural selection, that's why is it is being replaced by the Punctuated equilibrium theory.

We seem to fit in because that was necessary for our survival. Certain lifeforms cannot exist in an oxygen rich enviroment and rely on its absence. Without bacteria that gives off oxygen as a bi-product this world would not exist or your lungs would not function. These are the things that make the world what it is today and our life possible!

what Im trying to get at is that the world seems to follow a law, like why doesnt the world just fall apart, but because of specific laws the molecules stay together, so Im just saying that something must have programmed forces such as gravity to manipulate the molecules within a system, if a creator didn't, then your relaying on explaining it by the big bang, and I find it hard to believe that something as destructive as the big bang created such order.

I'm not trying to prove that religious people are smarter or anything like that. All I'm saying is that being religious doesn't hinder progress any more than not being religious.
I believe that it all comes down to interpretation, as in, if you interpret your religion as an absolute explanation to everything, then yes, it WILL hinder scientific progress. But it doesn't have to be that way.
I'm a Muslim and I think that evolution is totally compatible with Islamic beliefs.

Until now I was under the impression that the Sunnah was heavily researched & reviewed by peer scholars that were contempories of Sahih. The Sunnah was considered the 2nd most important document (next to the Koran) for 1160 years since it was compiled. Are you disputing the confirmation of ALL the proximate & intermediate scholars? Bukhari was revered for spending a sincere lifetime following in his prophet's footsteps gathering fragmented accounts of Muhammed's life & recording for posterity.

I haven't even gotten to the water cycle, the prediction of mountains used as natural geological tools for protection against earthquakes, and so many more. Not to mention a plethora of prophecies coming true day by day. Too much proof makes one wonder how anyone could not believe it

why don't you address the verses or refute them if you feel they aren't describing phenomenon taking place today, rather than going on another rant. No one said all scientific knowledge is contained in the Quran, simply that science is confirming many of the statements in the Quran. A religious book needs proof its from God, and well here it is. Have you ever observed a dry desert sky away from city lights, on a cool night. The milky way looks like thick SMOKE! Could it be a simple observation? Maybe Muhammed looked up at the night sky! It is clouds of H2, not smoke! It seems that even the basic observations made by Muhammed are immediately eulogized. This is a sign that Muhammed was, in his time, and is even more so now, A PERSONALITY CULT. I see no revelation in any of the verses you mentioned, but guilded interpretation in yours!

Yes but the verse is referring to stella formation. I'm sorry but I have seen nights all my life and never did "smoke" appear in it, and so what. The verse isn't referring to the sky its referring to stella formation, which whether you admit or not is smoke like. And what about the verse that predicts the universe is expanding. IF it was just one or two we could say its coincidence, but the fact that so many scientific facts appear in the Quran says something else

Gabriel should have told Muhammed, "verily stars are blazing suns of condensed hydrogen just like the one you see rising each day! And beyond that are swirling galaxies with billions of suns. Here is a telescope so you can see. But the sun does not rise or set Muhammed. In fact it is the earth that is turning. The earth also orbits the sun as do the other major planets etc...". The verse you quoted is useless & the scholars who studied it a billion times never understood it. It is not science!

Nope. "Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been smoke...". That smoke is stellar formation. You ceaselessly stick with this one point;yet refuse to address others I have shown such as 51:47 showing that the universe is expanding, or 21:30 verifying the Big Bang and various other ones. If it was just one or two, but the fact that so many confirm with modern science is a tough act to follow.

Everything you just said is garbage. Bukhari was good for his era, but we have better compilations. Furthermore Bukhari was under the governence of Muawiya who wanted them to hold on to their pagan heritage, he had Bukhari (under threat of being whipped to death) adds in hadiths of pagan cosmology, such as ideas like disease being caused by Hell, dipping flys into water to cure sickness and so forth. BUT muslims accept this. We accept that many were fabricated, hence rajal/shuroo solve it

A hadith reliability depends upon its chain of narration, who the narrators were, whether the narrators were reliable, how many narrators there were (for example a hadith narrated by a 1000s such as Ghadir Khum is more reliable than a hadith narrated by 2 or 3 people), and a plethora of other criteria. And like I said only muslims had such a scientific process for recording their religion.The reason the Quran is accurate is because every chain of verses in the Quran is mutawatir per this science

Will the REAL Islam please stand up. I guess with so many accounts and stories to choose from it's easy to say that some are fake and some are real. I thought Abu Dhar was a companion of Muhammed, no? Then lies must be iserted, and who is to say which is real and which is fake. I guess if it sounds absurd in the 21st century then it MUST be a fake. Inserted by an evil Jinn, Yet studied by scholars for 1500 years without a clue. Is that the only fake? ;}

Ignoring the rant. Like I said do you know what shuroo and rajal are? You are clueless about how our hadith sciences work, yet criticize them. They are actually quite effective in eliminating false hadith. We are the only religion which admits that we have false traditions and have a scientific methodology for determining the false ones from the real ones. Remember the western empirical method is little more than a watered version of what muslim made for their hadith science. touche!

Finally there even are some hadith that "hint" at an evolutionary process in creation. For example in Al-Kafi there are hadiths about 69000 adams before the official Adam. Scholars such Murtada Mutahari take that as evidence of evolution in islam, with those adams being taken as the genetic predecessors of the official Adam. There are others such as in Nahjul-Balagah where we learn about ancient lizards who became birds (hinting at birds today coming from dinosaurs). etc etc etc

When you step outside of your pagan box and see the world for what it is, it will take you into a new way of viewing life as it is. Belief in supernatural powers = superstition. If you are truly a proponent of science as you claim, you will acknowledge the lack of evidence for fantasy worlds like heaven, hell, etc.. There are no Jinns and the sun doesn't ask permission at the throne of God to rise each day. In fact the sun is relatively stable.

As for the atheism bit, I tried that for a time, it didn't turn out so well. The beauty of islam is that no matter how often you leave it, it draws you back in. FYI the Sun IS actually moving, as is our whole solar so no its not stable

Narrated Abu Dhar:
The Prophet asked me at sunset, "Do you know where the sun goes (at the time of sunset)?" I replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, "It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates Itself underneath the Throne and takes the permission to rise again, and it is permitted and then (a time will come when) it will be about to prostrate itself but its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask permission to go on its course (part1)

And that is the interpretation of the Statement of Allah: "And the sun Runs its fixed course For a term (decreed). that is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in Might, The All-Knowing." (36.38)

That hadith was labeled fake around 1500 years ago. Do you know what shuroo and rajal are? If not then please get an education on how the hadith system works before you post random hadith. There are over a million hadith, yet the number muslims use are only in the thousands. That's coz we admit many of the hadith are fake, hence unlike any other religion, we created a scientific system for seperating the fakes from the real ones.

I meant to say the suns position is stable RELATIVE to the planets. Of course it actually orbits the plantary center of gravity called the Barycenter, which lies near the center of the sun. This was mathematically proven by Newton in his treatise "Pricipia Mathematica". He too was religious, and he also wrote forgotten works on alchemy.

Ask christians, jews, hindus, buddhists or whatever if they have a complex system for separating the fabricated verses and traditions in their books from the fake ones. You won't get an answer. Only muslims did this.Actually the entire western empirical method used in science today is a watered version of what muslims developed for their hadith sciences
