@theNEWZ2 In the Sims 2 game there is a button for doing video -- or I think the V button on the keyboard works too -- it will save the video file to your harddrive in the Sims folder.

I use the SELECTABLE cheat too.

If I want someone to be on a lot, I invite them over, then I control them.

If I want to control an invited child, I use the "SetHour" cheat to make It morning. (Because children leave early)/otherwise, so the kids don`t leave, I just add them to the family then back again.

No, you don`t need the boolProp cheat for the hour cheat,just type it on the cheat box, type in "SetHour" then a number after the space. For example: Cheat: SetHour 15

Then the time changes to 3 p.m.!

As for the "Selectable" cheat, you have to type in the boolProp cheat, move your curser on a sim you want to controll hold down shift and then click, at the pie menu there will be an option that will let you controll an unselectable sim, it will say "make SELECTABLE" on It, click on It then the sim will be controllable!

Kind of both. I usually write out the dialogue, then when I record it, it tends to change. I definitely don't have the entire plot worked out before I begin. That'd probably be the most efficient, but my creative side just doesn't allow me to work that way.

The hardest part is writing something that's both interesting and can be done/filmed in the game. After that, it's just time-consuming, but not hard.

Have an adult click on the computer or a newspaper and select "find own place". The adult can choose which Sims to take with them. I have an adult move out with Ella. They are then sent to the neighborhood families bin. From the neighborhood view, I move Ella & the adult into a new house.

but I have 2 questions:

1- How did you get the fireworks?

2- How did you get them to walk where ever they wanted in the neighborhood (and be able to control all the characters) you know, like up and down the sidewalks and crossing the street n' such...?

1-They come with the holiday exp. pack, or The Sims Holiday Edition (which came out in late 2006 and included the reg. game plus that exp. pack.)

2-I tell them to "walk here" and they go. I only control 1 lot at a time. For example, near the beginning when Ella is walking down the sidewalk, I filmed that at Ella's house. Then Ella moved to Gus's lot and I set up the shot again and had her walk on HIS sidewalk. Edited together, it looks like she's walking right from one house to another.

There is also a cheat that lets you controll people that arnt in your family and alot of other things. If your in the neighboorhood and you open the cheat box (control+shift+c) and type boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true exactly that way and then play your sims you can do almost everything. You can control their realationships (drag the bar forward and back), the motives (drag bar), and skills. you can also do things when you click your sim while holding down shift, you get alot of options.

omg like... i had a really good series in mind! But then when I worked SO HARD to build their house and then even make the family and stuff AND THEN make the main character fall in love with this boy so she would have a boyfriend..... i taped it and it was ALL BLURRY!!!!!!!Please tell me how you get the filming ot be so clear! I hit the little camera on the bottom left corner of the little blue circle thingy that shows like "Build Mode" and "Buy Mode" and stuff like that! Please help me!

It's easily fixable... but sorry to say you'll have to re-film your scenes.

When you're inside a Sims house, hit the F5 key to access the menu, then click on the little icon that looks like a camera. Then adjust the following settings.

Video Capture Size - LARGE

Video Capture Quality - HIGH

You can also choose "High - Uncompressed" for quality, but the files are enormous if you do that and I wouldn't recommend it.

I think so. I made my first couple of music videos when I only had Sims Holiday Edition and Seasons, so I think it doesn't really matter. It just depends what kind of video you want to make.

I'm not sure. I usually have the move_objects on command turned on, so maybe that's why they can walk in the streets. I point to the street, say "walk here," and they go. Getting 2 Sims to walk next to each other, though -- that's trouble.

I do Ella's voice, mostly because it's such a big part that I'd drive anyone else crazy asking them to do re-record so many lines lines often and whenever. :)

The only expansion packs I have are nightlife, seasons, and holiday stuff.
