to get a screenshot preview of the app u have to click "visit developer's webpage". I know this is difficult since it requires reading, but usually this would fix your problem.
Yah I had the same exact problem... The only thing that helped was to 1) Restart the phone and 2) To delete some apps get more memory on the phone because using to much of the phones memory could be effecting the process
its actually probably going to be the new 2.1 update that is coming out for the moto droid very soon too. a couple speculated dates are jan 22, feb 1, and all the fridays in february.

The apps you are complaining are FREE! Just download them and see if you like it, if you don't like it, delete it.....problem solved!

verizon said that it will be updated to AT LEAST 2.0 (or even 2.0.1) in Q1 of 2010 so dont worry! soon enough it will all work out!

The Eris is supposed to get 2.0 or possibly even 2.1 now and you cant tell if a app is good from screen shots.
