You are hurt and feel that your constitutional rights have been violated because a corporation decided that a city with a population of 21000 could not sustain a chevy/jeep/cadillac car dealership.
So like a true red, white and blue patriot you go to the government and ask them to help your failing business. Because you are entitled to government assistance. Classy, Frank, classy.
OBVIOUSLY you have not ONE clue as to who this gentleman really is. If you did, you wouldn't be bashing him. He has never looked for a handout - has more class and money than you will see in your life time. His concern is for his employees and his community, you Moron!
I've noticed that most of the dealerships that were closed were owned by conservative people of European heritage. I call foul. Someone, somewhere, is politicizing who gets to survive and who goes. How else do you explain the most sucessful dealerships getting the axe while left wing "minority" owned dealerships were left alone? It's probably being directed by some leftist activist who supports Obama and "affirmative action". I know that's a bold non-PC statement but I feel it's justified.
The point is not whether GM and Jeep made good cars or bad. The point is that we all have a lot to lose if the government can take ourproperty or abrogate contracts without compensation. In this case, this man's property is being given to someone else who, in the eyes of someone, somewhere, is more "deserving". I would not want that to happen to me.
Boo HOO HOO....I hack deliberately poorly made gas guzzling inefficient peices of crap and call it "free market" and cry when it goes down the tubes!! It seems that accountability in the USA is only reserved for poor crack addicts and rape victims.
Then the Japanese and other foreign manufacturers brought their auto production INto the State; yet the profits still go to the motherland. We became defacto slaves for a foreign entity.
Detroit didn't lose the race for quality cars; they gave it away slowly through a thousands missteps. Brand loyalty and brand cache is the benefit that US automakers do NOT have.
Watch the ads for foreign cars: "Low price, mileage, reliability, and resale value."
or start buying fuel efficient well made cars that aren't manufactured with a short life span to ensure artificial profits for people like this pathetic man. That way the "free market" will really work and force companies like GM to do right before they are forced to make their stooges accountable for their atrocious actions-which hurt our environment, economy and the "free market system". Maybe you wouldn't have to own five trucks if the first one had actually been made correctly. hmmmm.....
You tree huggers make me sick. The nature of capitalism is being destroyed before our very eyes by the liberal majority. The taxes that those employees and Frank (the pathetic man whom I know personally) have paid on behalf of their enduring commitment to hard work & the free market enterprise have been thrust back at them and used to shut down their own facility. You would rather see every human burn before a tree gets sacrificed for a child's book. You should be ashamed to call urself american

Never thought I'd feel sorry for a car dealer, this is a bit like seeing a shark get bit.

It is absolutley discusting to see this dealership be treated in such a Chavesian manner.
I have owned 5 GM trucks, I will now reasses my loyalty. This Stalinist measure by Obama Motors must be repudiated.
