@TheNokie65 Yeah, i remember that show! I knew I had seen April Wine in concert, but couldn't remember who played on the bill. Thanks for reminding me. btw, GREAT show!!
LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just sent it to my friend in Finland -- cuz I adore his friendship like crazy -- AND -- had to make sure he heard this. ~~~~ makes me think of a million kick ass times :)
Their guitars are amazing and all held together tight with Jerry Mercer on drums. The unmistakeable voice of Miles. Very underrated band, but hey, "I don't care".
LOVE this old electric song from early 80's. San Jose, California Rock & Roll station 98.5 KOME used to have this song blazing over the airwaves, "from the bottom of the bay" compliments of the most politically in-correct D.J. in the world..... Good 'Ol DENNIS ERECTUS. Those were some good old days......... BMX bikes & one-hit bongs. Thank you Dennis, where ever you are!!
I don't care.... He don"t care..........Yes.. Yes.. Yes!!!!!.. Had the album, back when we bought albums!.... this is where it all came from. .. thanks Apri Wine!
Wow! I stumbled into this tune... haven't thought of it in a couple of decades, and suddenly I'm in high school again, big collars and all. Awsome memories.
I saw these guys & Molly Hatchet on a club tour in Columbus,Ga. in 1981 it made for a great evening even though I had no clue who either band was at the time.Funny Aye!
April Wine Max Webster, Triumph and RUSH ruled back during my time in Toronto free shows every weekend down on lake ontario what a fun place the great white north. =]
This is great rock as well as alot of rock from the 50's, 60s and 70s but after the 80s there is still a ton of good rock. Anybody heard of Soundgarden, Nirvana, Godsmack, Seether, Shinedown, Nickelback, just to name a few. I just turned 48 and you can still rock in America.
Wow.......That would be like saying Black Sabbath would have been great if they were not from England. You Sir, are a piece of moronic shit...Have a quality day.
@robertjohnson487 Canadians rock dude! They are awesome! Great people, fine women, and stronger beer are just a few of the reason sto check it out eh? A Buckeye in TX. Rock on Canada! Kerrrrrrrrrrrrang!
Hot summer nights , partying. Does anybody remember going to "kegger's"???
The loud music...you remember true 80's metal, the weed, and of course the beer. If you were a teenager at that time it was a recipe for sex......And I loved every seond of it!!!!
love seeing them live my fisrt show was when i was 4 the guys know me and my family ill 15 next month gone to 15 or so shows used to be forced to go now i want to i dont like most of todays crap it all sounds the same!
April Wine was great. Rush had a completely different sound. Loverboy sounded more like April Wine in the 80's. The Guess Who & Steppen Wolf were also canadian. Now we got some great bands like Nickelback, Theory of a Dead Man and 3 Days Grace. The Brits are still the best musicians ever.
Nickelback can Rock out when they want to. Animals, S.E.X, How You Remind Me, Never Again are all good songs, but yeah for me the Brits will always rule.
April Wine IS a great Canadian Band but have to agree that Rush is the better band. Especially since April Wine opened for Rush circa 1979 / Aragon Ballroom Chicago IL and played so loud and hurt my ears so bad I could hardly hear Rush! Dont forget that The Guess Who ranks right up there with Rush!
Saw the same show in Memphis clifbuel it was awsome, Molly Hatchett kicked ass, April Wine suprised the shit out of me they were freekin great.
