Well done for an excellent review of a film that, well.....what can one say. I saw it years ago on home video, I was 15 or 16 at the time. Maybe I'll order a copy online and revisit this little gem. The 'nasty nazi' cycle of films in the late seventies came to an quick end, I don't think anyone would dare try to make one today

IMHO, Nazis are the lazy storyteller's villains, much in the way it is the lazy politician's ad hominem. You call someone a Nazi in order to label them as sub- or even non-human, and therefore worthy of no more consideration. Of course, then you're really just guilty of the very same sort of tactic that Nazis are so well-known for: demonizing an opponent so as to dominate both sides of the narrative yourself. Fascism can be SO ironic, lol.

@Kananmunakas It's just fair warning for those who may be offended by certain things in the film. I only put them on reviews of films that have content of a particularly adult nature (like Cannibal Holocaust or Salo) or potentially offensive subjects (such as in this case Nazi's). It gives those folks a chance to choose whether or not to watch in the absence of a rating system and is not representative of my opinion of the majority of my viewers

This film should of been called The horny Nazzie as it is based on the infatuation with Sadomasochism of pro war Germany. The acting is defiantly amateurish. As a person who enjoys film, I regularly come across poor attempts at lets say the horror titillation genre and find it frustrating at times to watch these films because of the simpleness. to say the least I think this is a perverted flick only a pervert would like this. someone who doesn't care about quality and story

What you don't mention about the crew is that most of them are dead. The director and the main starlet have both passed on. She had died of AIDS in Spain. The director's last film was in 87. I had never heard of him before I saw this, and he appears to specialize in cheap exploitation flicks.

Outstanding Review man. I am 16 and this movie is banned were i live but i did find the beats in heat to be the worst nazi movie ever made. Main reason is the poster shows this monster grapping this girl and that monster was a big let down. And the plot and story

Enjoying your reviews. You know your stuff. I'm returning to the older genres as i just cant find anything extreme made after the early 80's that is of a worthwhile production/acting value.

Noted on the "guinea pig" films and "flower of flesh and blood" you should also mention "Subconscious Cruelty" although I personally feel thats it's poor, it is on the "must watch" list for the avid video nasty fan, the birthing scene is, well, unforgetable, yet strangely watchable.

A lot of video nasties have influenced me to be a writer and director. I haven't seen this film, but it looks original and very violent. The BBFC refuse to release this as uncut.. What a good idea to use an offensive historical group of individuals - The Nazis. An excellent review lampyman10. Please keep up the good work.

Only caught up with this after it was banned in the uk. I am a sucker when it comes to 'the nasties', beast in heat or horrorfying experiments of the ss last days, when I viewed it, not that great, but ok if you like cheesy films.

i have the original pre cert copy of this and its absolute trash. im not a fan of these nazi explotation films, but ive heard that this is one of the more disturbing of the bunch. If so i cant help but laugh, cos thats all i did throughout the film... Its just so low budget that any sintended shock value just comes across as comic. I would only recomend this to real harden video nasty fans.

LOL yeah it was tempting. its not entirely the worst thing I've seen so it was saved from that humiliation. next review is 'Unhinged' so who knows what'll happen when I watch that 2-3 times to review it. I'm booking a weekend in a padded cell to come down after that one

Heh, well, this station was known for showing mostly "non main-stream" types of movies, and more often then not, they showed a few of the video nasties, albeit in very chopped up form. What made them show Beat in Heat uncut, I'm not sure of though.
