All cars have wheels too. It was inevitable that phones would incorporate touch screens sooner or later, it just so happened Apple to be the first. I find it ridiculous that every touch phone whould be now called iphone-clone, 'cause as such, regular phones around 2000 should had been called Nokia clones (as those were the first to incorporate the antenna, or -by 2003- we should called clumshel phones, motorolla clones.

I'm okay with a phone being touch screen, I'm not okay with how the home screen itself looks quite similar to Apple's iphone, and that it has a dock that contains 4 apps. I'm sure Google made this phone with knowledge of that and added a few things that make it quite distinct from the iPhone; I just think they should give credit to Apple for using tthe same home screen.

Ehm i dont thin Apple was the first one with the touch screen, u need to make some research and maybe then u will see that there were some phones with touch screen before iphone. Iphone made somethink like touch-screen boom :)

It was more than that-- the iPhone has multitouch, and allows for a very finger friendly interface. Other touch screen phones (in general) require a stylus to perform tasks. They require pressure on one spot on the screen. The iPhone is incredibly responsive to the fleshy part of your finger. That's what was so revolutionary about it.
