  • In the left hand background at 0:32 is the zurich insurance building. Still there but for sale and may be converted to residential. This is in the days before pedestrianisation, the St Nicholas Centre and mindless immigration.

  • Seems odd now, seeing buses in Sutton High Street. Imagine going all the way to Reigate on that Leyland National on the 711-you'd need an osteopath by the time you got off.

  • VIDEO OF SUTTON HIGH STREET

  • FOK MITE FOK FOK FOK... Nice Buz... Inn'it? :-\

  • CORRECT.

BUT I REMEMBER AN EVEN MORE DISTANT TIME. DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE DAYS WHEN GIRAFFES USED TO ROAM FREELY UP AND DOWN REGENTS STREET ? (I remember coming out of the bakers on the old Goodge Street only to see my Aunt Betty in her broken down old jallopy getting towed home by one .)

  • This was the bues that serving in Hong Kong in 1960s.

  • 0:22 till 0:43 the bus is like the one still operating in malta

  • Nostalgia trip! I used to travel on an UX RF to school.

  • @DaveInBridport Where does it drive through ?
