The Catholic Church is not against family planning per se. She is against the immoral means or methods by which it is being implemented. And the end does not justify the means. Any family planning scheme that is premised on materialism and relativism is anti-God and anti-life. The prevention of conception through human intervention is a sin because it frustrates the will of God to create human life. God knows a person even before conception (cf. Jeremiah 1:5).
