  • A lot of Soviet space scientists could have gotten jobs at NASA, in fact ESA and NASA did finance their work after the USSR collapsed

  • Krushev was planning to begin something like Gorbachev's Glasnost policy. The old party goons knew what that would mean even then. The Soviet state was born in terror & could only be sustained by terror. Once the people no longer feared the party, it was doomed. A shame, imagine where the world would be today if the Soviet Unioin collapsed some 30yrs earlier.

  • @VictorLepanto Where would the world be if the SU have collapsed in the 1960s??

  • @estoyaqui85: We'd all be in a much better place, most certainly. If the aura of nobiltiy had been knocked the communist gangster politics then, much of the foolishness of the 60s would never have happened.

  • This guy was Ukrainian and considered a country bumpkin amongst his colleagues. Stalin used him as his court jester and made him choke on unpeeled cucumbers. He was abrupt by all accounts and was disposed of after too many embarassing flops. Could have met all the qualifications of an Obama administration.

  • Traitor1

  • A traitor he was.

  • Kruschev and Brezhnev rolled over in their graves during Desert Storm.... Bush 41 went to Brezhnev's funeral

  • As a diplomat, he was awfull.

  • Khrushchev was the best leader of CCCP. Because he inspired people to explore space.

  • @helpermethod I think he was the worst actually

  • @estoyaqui85 Khrushchev was quite the leader. He grasped the new international politics quickly. He scared the shit out of the West with his outbursts, but always to an end. He liberalized the Soviet Union, although Brezhnev rolled back the clock. Gorbachev used the Khrushchev era as a precedent for his own liberalization campaign. Khrushchev was a brilliant politician and a repentant man after this "resignation".

  • @itsmannertime HGWT5763.04/10/13/2010 A.D. THIS MAN WAS CUT FROM THR VERY SAME AS HIS PREDECESSORS,LENIN AND STALIN.HE WAS A BUTCHER AND A BULLY WITH THE BLOOD OF MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF HIS OWN COUNTRYMEN ON HIS HANDS,PURELY EVIL.HE IS GOING TO ANSWER BEFORE GOD FOR HIS SHARE OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY.LIKE STALIN,HE CAN NOT AND WILL NOT EVER BE CLEANSED OF THAT,EVER!I DO NOT CARE HOW BRILLIANT HE WAS OR HOW GREAT A LEADER HE MAY HAVE BEEN-HE WAS A COLD-BLOODED MURDERER! I

  • @HORSE1492 you are a cold blooded faggot

  • @CPOTSU HGWT5763. 01/07/10/2011 A.D. I AM NOT GAY,IF THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE IMPLYING.NIKITA KHRUSHCHEV WAS STILL A MAN OF BRUTALITY,OF VIOLENCE AND MURDER AND A MEMBER OF THE STALIN CRIMINAL GANG AND GOD WILL PUNISH HIM FOR THAT.ILL TAKE MIKHAIL GORBACHEV OVER THAT JERK ANY DAY!

  • @HORSE1492 i still disagree with you.

  • @itsmannertime I agree totally. He was very human, and sometimes emotional. The hell that Stalin had created was slowly dismantled by Khrushchev. After everything the Soviet people had endured the Revolution on, the rapid industrialization, purges, Great Patriotic War, they were frankly exhausted. How could they not be? Khrushchev was aware of this. I'd suggest anybody who wants to know N.K., read his memoirs "Khrushchev Remembers". Excellent book. By the way, his son is now a U.S. citizen.

  • Putin for the president!

  • @PhatFarm60 Oh, you mean only individuals coming from "elite" families like Barack Obama? LMAO.

  • Comment removed

  • @PhatFarm60 no Phat, I'm the one laughing my ass off. You evidently have no knowledge of American, or presidential history. Truman was from a dirt poor farm family in rural Missouri, Richard Nixon quoted by Richard Aitken in his biography said ""We were poor, but the glory of it was, we didn't know it", Bill Clinton was wealthy ? This from his official biography "His father, William Jefferson Blythe, Jr., was a traveling salesman who died in an automobile accident before Bill was born". (cont)

  • @PhatFarm60 Keep in mind, I've just touched on the last 60 years. Should I go farther back and inform you of Abraham Lincoln who grew up quite literally in a shack? I have visited the farm of Dwight Eisenhower. No Phat, he was from a lower middle class farm family. Lyndon Johnson was a school teacher, Jimmy Carter was hardly from a wealthy family. In fact, from the beginning, the patrician presidents have been somewhat rare. How did so many poor ones make it? Can you answer that?

  • @PhatFarm60 I'm wondering if you're trying to rationalize a lack of success on your part. It is fascinating to think that so many poor,.. no not just poor, but desperately poor people could make it to the top. Yes, I'm speaking of our history right up to today. Obama had nothing more than his brains, the same for Nixon, Carter, Clinton- all of whom were awarded academic scholarships to the best schools - something evidently you never experienced. Go hit those books Einstein.

  • @PhatFarm60 A BS in what? Basket Weaving? I have very adequately destroyed the point you attempted to make. Many presidents have a lower middle class and even poor class background. THIS was the point you were making- that you had to be a member of the elite to get anywhere. I can't help it if your panties are in a bunch because I've clearly show your premise is grossly in error. Actually you cretin, I made a point that THOSE from working class backgrounds were highly educated. Friggen idiot

  • they dumped him. nixon won.

  • Khrustev prosral USSR.

  • хрюшка ЧМО!!! проебал страну и опидарасил весь ссср

  • @burko890- you arr soooo right!!!if it had not been for Oleg Penkovsky, the soviet project to put bombs in Cuba pointed towards USA would have gone unnoticed.....but lets be fair to him......he was no better than the rest of those asses.....the entire union was twisted....it would be a sad day if the soviet union still existed-still ruling over the other 14 unions.....

  • Kruschev was Stalin's stooge and his hands were bloody just like the rest of his buddies.

This cuddly teddy-bear 'nice guy' was a calculating cold-blooded mass murderer and should be remembered as such.

  • весь прикол то в том...что ботинок, которым он стучал был итальянской фирмы)))

  • @slivovich ахахаха! Круто!

  • Khrushchev was NOT an astronomy guy and apparently nobody knows diddly squat about him because he was SEMI-LITERATE.

The space program was achieved by theoretical and practical sciences that Comrade Stalin acquired from Nazi Germany at the end of the war. Stalin deserves the credit for that and everything else that functioned properly. All Khrushchev did was to scramble things up until his colleagues got fed up. No other General Secretary was forced to resign.

  • Я вам покажу кузькину мать! Колхоз выбился в люди)))

  • Yo, if there was one Soviet Leader I'd have a beer with, it'd be Kruschev. You jst gotta love a guy like him xD

  • finally i look down to the comments below on you tube and it is actually something nice not weird emotionally twisted stuff.

  • @RATH3RUNIQUE He would shoot you in your office like he murdered laventi beria , he was taken down cuz he was a psychopat .

  • Our political leadership is acting like Kruschev today. Coarse and undignified.

  • Krushchev was a coarse and unintelligent man from the Donbass in the Ukraine who fancied himself as a farmer so completely wrecking huge regions of the USSR w his harebrained irrigation schemes. He almost started a world war to boot.

  • Krushchev was the coolest Soviet leader. Space&time exploration is cool. Einstein's General theory of relativity is cool. Because mathematics and physics and Soviet space program I love & respect Krushchev so much. Stalin was a pervert whose deepest desire was to kill women and children, but Krushchev was a civilized astronomy guy. I like astronomy guys!

  • There is a great bio (Charlton Heston: An Incredible life: Revised Edition) talking about Heston meeting Krushchev. Bio is at amazon.

  • The 57-year-old Brezhnev looks pretty thin here!

  • the coup to oust khrushchev couldnt ever have been pulled on stalin, he would've fuckin liquidated most of the central committee and politburo.

  • correct, things are we hope better now.

  • "most widely travelled soviet leader in history" actually the only travelled leader up to that point lol.

  • He was a coalminer, a real worker, the only one among soviet leaders. He was no intelectual, but this is good thing because comunist intelectuals were very cruel.

  • There was one U.N. meeting where Khruschev took off one of his shoes and repeatedly banging it on the desk while yelling at the American delegation "we will bury you".

    He was quite a character.

  • To THUD086:

Should that be Filipino delegation who was being yelled at?

  • @THUD086 he never said that, the translation was propaganda

  • @THUD086

It is sad that during the Cold War, the US and Soviet diplomats and politicians always tried to wage verbal wars that deteriorated relations even more.

The worst was probably Reagan and how he constantly called the USSR, "The Evil Empire". And other offensive things. And while he was saying all this, the USSR took his words seriously and feared of a Nuclear War.

They also talked about how much Reagan's philosophies was like Hitler's, and talked about how to remove him, in the Kremlin.

  • @THUD086 Some say what he really said during that was "We will surpass you" meaning he thought that the Soviets would prosper better than the US, rather than the Soviets literally burying them.

  • Does it say here he resigns? He got booted out and was under house arrest for the remainer of his life. Had to smuggle his memoirs out to the wicked West to get them publish

  • ё! Брежнев был такой юнный, Хрущёв и Брежнев давали всё чтобы СССР был б коммунистический рай но предатель Горбачев разрушал всё!

  • komunizm -- kak gorizont, always at least 5 kilometres ahead of you. sedek kur sedi ir tylek, asile.

  • Brezhnev looks young, proactive and thin on the day of his inauguration (16 Oct. 1964)

  • I came to notice that American documentary movies contain mostly wrong information..i wonder why..))

  • subjective documentarys movies

  • че это за нах?

  • what a shame he was such a great general in ww2, he really kicked ass, to bad he turned out to be a stupid commie clown,

  • Damn those neutralist nations!

  • hunk4hire FUCK U!
