  • Can you do this with color pictures? What do you put it on? Can it be done from a laser printer or copier? I'm a bit confused? Thanks again ..

  • WOOOOW

  • You can use newspaper images, too, including color, and for my laser printed image, I just left the tape and paper in the water for about an hour, maybe less, and the paper floated off the tape, and I was able to preserve it as well!

  • forgive me for being a little dim, but now what do you do with it? I want it on wood or metal or something, not tape.

  • daaang o.o i am soo gonna use tht xDDD

  • This is amazing. I just found your videos and I watched all of them in one sitting. I want to try everyone and I will. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • hmm.. amazing!

but what does it mean to be laser photo copied?? and would it work if if wasnt 'laser photocopied'?? if so what else could you use?? ^o)

  • @keetsta96 laser photo copied is the style of printer. Most printers/copiers commercially or in offices are laser jet. Home printers are typically ink jet and won't work. So if you get to your local library or copy center to make the copies you should be good to go!

  • @theoneminutemuse oooh okay.. thank you so much :) you have been such a help, im on my way to starting an art journal!!

  • we used to do this in my art class, but we'd use gel medium on magazine images

  • where do you get a laser photocopy image? how do you do it

  • @TheChum1981 Most of the big name copy places use laser machines to make their copies, however the older style copiers are toner based (you may find these in areas that haven't updated their equipment) I've found toner copiers in older public libraries and some schools. Let me know if you have any further questions, I'm here to help!

  • You know all the cool stuff! With the exception of the paper towel dying, everything you showed is new to me! VERY VERY fun! Thanks for sharing.

  • whoa that is so cool i love your videos :D

  • Beautiful, enjoyed your video.

  • That was so coo. Thank you for the tips!

  • u just blew my mind away. that is so cool. i have heard of this but never knew how it worked. im gonna try it. thanks.

  • I love this technique too...you can do the same effect too with just magazine pages also. Great stuff!

  • This is cool! I'm going to try it. Thanks for sharing.

  • I'm going to do this.

  • Mine never come out that good. I don't think that I soak them in water long enough. I will have to try again.

  • What exactly happens that it doesn't turn out right? If your design isn't transfering then make sure you have a laser photo copy and burnish like crazy. If you're left with white paper still on the tape then you are exactly right. Try leaving it to sit in the water for a while before you start rubbing.

  • Thanks for the great videos!

  • Glad you enjoy them :)

  • Love the style of your video! What do you do with the transfer now that it's on the tape???

  • mauidelite, You can do anything with it. Glue it down over a background with a matte medium, Glue only the edges (super glue, silicon or hot glue work best for this) to create a pocket and fill with cut paper, glitter. The possibilities are endless. Happy experimenting! *Note - you must apply another type of adhesive since the tacky part of the tape is no longer functional.

  • very cool!
